About me Eefje Ederveen eefjeederveen@gmail.com 06-51940464

Hello, I feel proud to show you my portfolio. This is all about my work during the past years I have been in school and did some work for clients. My name is Eefje Ederveen and I study Communication and Multimedia Design at the Hogeschool Arnhem - Nijmegen. I am in my fourth year so I have done quite some assignments which I can show in here. Of course this is not all the work that I have done but I picked the showpieces that I think is relevant to show in this portfolio. I hope you will enjoy to take a look at it!

Corporate identity - SKETCHING This

was

a

challenge

for

a

school

project.

The

challenge was to design a corporate identity for a marketing and communication company. We had to come up with a name and with a matching design.

The final name was ‘Oploskoffie’. This means instant coffee but in Dutch the word ‘Oplos’ also means ‘Solution’. So

the

company

name are

and

coming

the

work

together

in

of the

the logo.

Key values to the design were: - Contemporary - Business related - Clean

The final corporate identity, with the colors and advices how it should be used on pictures for example. There was a brandbook made with this as well, but that had a lot of text so I decided it was not relevant to put in this portfolio.

Product design - MODEL IDEAS This

project

was

called:

‘ Week of the bedside table’. It was all about making something you have always thought about but never started or finished. Within a week I had the opportunity to make something with coaching from the minor Co-Design Studio. Experts with different backgrounds, and from different countries were helping and encouraging to develop the challenge.

I wanted to make a leather bag inspired by the brand ‘My Paperbag’. I started on Monday with nothing and I gladly finished with a final product to be proud of.

Product design - THE MATERIAL I did not have the material to make the bag. I started out looking for leather until I came up with the awesome idea to go to a secondhand store and look for furniture. But, unfortunately I could not find what I was looking for. I decided to place an ad on Facebook and a woman replied that she had an old leather couch that was about to go to the dump. I picked it up and cut the leather out of it to use.

Product design - THE MAKING OF -

The sewing machine and I did not became very good friends after this week but with some struggles every now and then the bag was born. First made a pattern out of a real paper bag, then did cut out the leather and glued it and last but not

least

the

sewing.

Interior design - SKETCHING A design for a balcony. The challenge was to design a cozy place where the owners could both relax and have a dinner on a decent table. The surface was not that big so I had to be creative with filling up the space. It ended up having a little lounge part to relax and a cool looking bar table to either eat on or have a few drinks with friends.
