Soho & China Town

At the heart of central London, you’ll find Soho, the cities live music and partying district. Filled with cocktail bars, theatres, boutique shops and exciting cuisines–Soho is London’s liveliest neighbourhood.

Within Soho is Chinatown, London’s home to a large East Asian community, dating back to the mid-20th century when Chinese settlers moved from the original Chinatown in the city’s East End to Soho following the end of World War 2.

The area boasts an incredible display of streets and buildings adorned with traditional Chinese symbols and colours, with street signs also written in both Chinese and English.

The neighbourhood hosts a wealth of restaurants serving traditional Chinese fare, but you’ll also find many other Eastern-inspired cuisines. You’ll be spoilt for choice with restaurants serving a brilliant array of food from Szechuan specialities, to Cantonese and chinese buffet- style restaurants Across the year, the local Chinese community host several events–none more prominent than the Chinese New Year celebrations– so you’re always likely to find something happening in the area.
