6’ -represents 0” An experimental theater that aesthetically an object that sits in Florida’s Museum Park, as a “pearl”.GRADE This ambiguity of the “pearl” is represented to the theater itself as the complexity 0’ - 0” of the theater expresses the dichotomy from the exterior shell, which is necessary for acoustical reasons. The overall design also incorportates a shaded pavilion and submersive landscape for park users to evade from the intense miami sun. A revitlization of the community is a secondary aspect to the overall project.

47+49 Broadway, New York, New York Financial District Elementary School Critic: James Garrison // Spring 2015

In the heart of the financial district is this elemenatry school, where parents can drop off their children on their way to work. The design constraints were dealing with the already dense city, and building veritically with the city’s typology. Although compact, this school comes fully equipped with a gym, auditorium and an after chool program that parents can trust to find their children safe from pck up 6th floor 6th floor after work. cafeteria cafeteria

Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY Urban Housing Critic: Erich Schoenenberger // Fall 2015 ’

Dwellings in a dense community with a walkable surfacescape for the general public, without the intrusion of the private spaces. Primary entry to each unit is through the parking garage below and then up through the central core. The main source of transportation is the personal vehicle, which makes this unique public to private relationship possible. Each unit has vertically stacked programs.

Marine Park Salt Marsh, Brooklyn, NY Machine Aviary // Synthetic Ecology Critic: Jason Vigneri-Beane // Fall 2016

https://vimeo.com/195161631 + https://vimeo.com/195161623

A self-sustaining and self-transporting machine aviary with an automated drone-system. The scouting drones scan for any injured birds nearby and then is automated to return back to the rehabilitation incubator. The machine can sustain itself by injecting a filter into the earth and gathering vital nutrients for both aviaries and rehabiliation incubator. The primary purpose are for migratory birds, that when in need for shelter from harsh weather conditions or refueling for their long journey, can spot and use any of these machines that are scattered around the globe.

Manhattan, NY Revitalized Streets of NYC Critic: Kutan Ayata // Spring 2017 Group Member: Tim Li Responsibilities: Equal work of modeling/rendering/post processing of images

Obtaining and utlizing skills in both rendering and post processing with Vray and photoshop, resulted in our speculative realistic scenario. Bizarre and extreme setting 30 years from now where the city has gained parts of the cityscape back for pedestrian use. From public pools and golf courses to the eventual buyout and profit based developer use. We developed an agenda that helped our representational techniques as well as our own aesthetic architectural representation.

D E S I G N

Decayed Parallax Critic: Ferda Kolatan // Spring 2017

Extraction of hard and curvey edges and structured branching voids from both precedences, while simultaneously losing the characteristic of a plan but retaining the essence. Nested conditions are realized through the 3-dimensional object that capture each of the earlier stated qualities. The added quality of decay supports the true nature of imperfections in the objectification of reality. Without an intense source of light, shadows can not be created, thus detail will never be seen. However, if shadows and the qualities of the object are baked as a texture, then with minimal light, details can still be seen. This also can deceive the viewer at first glance as an object that sits in reality, but in actuality its “reality” that sits on the object.
