Hey, hey AIESECer welcome in 2010! The purpose of this January newsletter is to keep you updated on the events in our LC family’s life and share our experience and smiles across the miles. First newsletter of the year is always a good time to tell about our experience last month, and express warm wishes for the year to come.
In this newsletter we will share the moments of our days of last month in AIESEC Milano Cattolica, updating you with LC news, team news and upcoming events as well as important dates to keep in mind.

LC news and updates During last 2 LC meetings we have worked a LONG (literally) long hours to put things in right places and right people for right tasks in order to make this year’s work more productive and more efficient. The first thing we are really proud of and can say a BIG THANKS to Alberto is that we have a wireless in the office!!! now we can work even more productive!

Our 1th TN’s We are really happy that our team has joined two, great girls – Timaj from America and Egita from Latvia and thanks to them we have raised our 1th TN’s -MT and TN for our “Diversity makes the difference” project. Timaj is here for her MT TN for Dolce & Gabbana, working there as the Features Editor at Dolce & Gabbana's online luxury magazine Swide.com, where she write articles, assist in providing viral marketing strategies for both the website and upcoming Dolce & Gabbana promotions along with the Digital Marketing and Communications team at Dolce & Gabbana..
Timaj Alwan and Egita Grinberga
Egita is helping with Diversity makes the difference project with promotion side and helping to organize related events to this PBOX, and also helping LC in different areas and different projects, like helping EP recruitment team and working as TN manager to find perfect match for our raised TN’s in International office. We have also matched a TN for International service - Teacher assistant position. So from the 1th March for 6months here is coming a girl from Shanghai.
EP recruitment goes in full swing Our great EP team – Mattia, Cristina, Mark, Alessandra, has started the EP recruiting and already managed to organized 3 great info events, which was well attended and the interest from student’s side was great. All of those info events took part also special guests – Anna Skryabina and Michail Markoglou who shared their AIESEC experience. BIG thanks to them for giving their contribution and finding time to participate. 2nd step of EP recruitment was language tests where all the interested ones had to take a test in English and Spanish/French/Portuguese. The good thing is that almost everyone passed it and the results was pretty good. 3rd step was Role-play where the team tested students suitability to go in exchange, making them work in teams on different tasks – like inventing and selling some modern – nowadays product to ancient civilizations, etc. Also with those results EP team is really satisfied. Now they are ready to the last step – individual interviews and matching!
AIESEC ITALY Milano Cattolica 2010 ● Volume 1, Issue 1 ●
We have met “Confapi” and we are close to sign a BIG agreement – “Protocollo di intensa” not only for Milano but also for AIESEC in Pavia.
Our PBOX - "Responsible entrepreneurship" was a little bit left aside, but now we are ready to restart it and take it to the next level.
This agreement would be a great success for the future cooperation with them in order to raise new management traineeship positions as well as providing new interns with some training.
For this great opportunity we have to thank to the Microsoft and their initiative and also our country partnership, which we are going to sign in upcoming week.
Still there is a lot to work on, but so far everything I moving forwards just splendidly.
Diversity makes the difference Our diversity project team also has been working hard to make these PBOX events amazing. Our big event will be realized in cooperation with our partners PwC as a main sponsor, Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano and Teatro delle Biglie. We are also working on a short movie, related to this topic, to be presented in this event. It will be held on 11th of March in Milano Cattolica.
