http://www.vetogate.com/ مصر للطٌران 6 :آالف و 855جنٌها سعر تذكرة الذهاب والعودة لروسٌا كتب :محروس هنداوي أعلنت شركة مصر للطٌران ،عبر موقعها الرسمً ،عن خطة أسعارها للعاصمة الروسٌة موسكو على أن تقلع أولى الرحالت بعد غد الخمٌس ،متجهة إلى مطار دومودٌدوفو الدولً ،على أن تبدأ من 6آالف و 855جنٌها للذهاب والعودة. وأكدت الشركة ،أن أولى الرحالت ستقلع بعد ؼد الخمٌس ،متجهة إلى روسٌا على أن تكون رحالت العودة فً ال 17من أبرٌل الجاري ،وطرحت خصما %25على األطفال ،و %90على الرضع. وأكدت شركة مصر للطٌران على المسافرٌن فً خطابها لشركات السٌاحة ،أن المؽادرة ستكون من خالل مبنى الركاب الجدٌد رقم 2فً تمام الـ 9.25صباحا ،على أن تكون رحالت العودة عبر مبنى الركاب رقم 3فً تمام الـ 7.10مساء. وأضافت الشركة فً خطابها لشركات السٌاحة ،إن الشركة ستسٌر 3رحالت إلى العاصمة الروسٌة موسكو أٌام األحد والثالثاء والخمٌس من كل أسبوع ،على أحدث طائراتها من طراز 737/800والمجهزة بشاشات عرض فً مقاعد درجة رجال األعمال والدرجة السٌاحٌة للركاب. ٌذكر أن شركة مصر للطٌران أعلنت عن تخفٌض %50على درجة رجال األعمال و %35على الدرجة السٌاحٌة على رحلتها األولى للذهاب والعودة.

1 http://www.alhayat.com «طٌران ناس» ٌوقع مع «سً أف أم» عقد شراء محركات بـ 6.3بلٌون دوالر أعلن «طٌران ناس» ،الطٌران الحائز على جائزة الناقل الوطنً والطٌران االقتصادي الرائد فً الشرق األوسط ،والذي أسسه األمٌر خالد بن سلطان ،توقٌع مذكرة تفاهم مع شركة « «CFMالدولٌة ،المورد الرائد لمحركات الطائرات التجارٌة ،لشراء محركات «LEAP-1A«. وقعت المذكرة فً فرنسا تزامنا ً مع زٌارة ولً العهد السعودي األمٌر محمد بن سلمان إلى بارٌس ،وفً حضور رئٌس مجلس إدارة شركة «طٌران ناس» عاٌض الجعٌد ،والرئٌس التنفٌذي للشركة بندر المهنا ،ونائب الرئٌس التنفٌذي للمبٌعات والتسوٌق فً شركة « «Safran\CFMفٌلٌب كوتو الدولٌة. وتبلػ قٌمة االتفاق الموقع بٌن الطرفٌن 6٫3بلٌون دوالر ( 23.6بلٌون لاير سعودي) ،وتنص على قٌام شركة « «CFMالدولٌة بتزوٌد «طٌران ناس» محركات ألسطول الطائرات الجدٌد المكون من 80طائرة مع خٌار 40طائرة إضافٌة من طراز « A320« neoوالمقرر وصولها بدءاً من العام الجاري إضافة إلى اتفاق صٌانة وخدمات طوٌل األجل ألسطول طائرات « «A320مع «CFM«. وقال الجعٌد« :من دواعً سرورنا وفخرنا بزٌارة األمٌر محمد بن سلمان ولً العهد نائب رئٌس مجلس الوزراء وزٌر الدفاع ،أن ندخل فً شراكة مع شركة « «CFMضمن رؤٌة المملكة 2030وفً إطار تعزٌز جهودنا لمواصلة التطوٌر االستراتٌجً». وأضاؾ« :إن نجاح شركة CFMوقوة أدائها على مر السنوات ٌأتٌان كعنصر أساس التفاقنا مع شركة CFMبقٌمة 6.3بلٌون دوالر وستدعم هذه الشراكة رؤٌتنا الطموحة فً النمو والتطور والتً من شأنها توسٌع خططنا الرامٌة إلى تحقٌق النجاح باعتبارنا الطٌران االقتصادي الرائد فً الشرق األوسط والمنطقة». وأكد المهنا النجاح «بعملنا مع أسطول طائراتنا الحالً من نوع إرباص A320 التً تعمل بمحركات ،CFM56-5Bوالتً مكنتنا من الحفاظ على معاٌٌر األداء العالٌة والتكلفة المنخفضة فً العملٌات».

سلطات طٌران أوروبا تحذر شركات الطٌران من خطر "الضربات الجوٌة ضد سورٌا" حذرت سلطات الطٌران األوروبٌة ،فً بٌن شركات الطٌران التً تحلق فوق شرق البحر األبٌض المتوسط ،فٌما ٌتعلق بمخاطر "الضربات الجوٌة ضد سورٌا" فً غضون 72ساعة. وأضافت "ٌرجى االنتباه إلى أن الوكالة األوروبٌة لسالمة الطٌران، أصدرت إخطاراً عاجالً لمنطقة معلومات الطٌران لشرق المتوسط / نٌقوسٌا". وجاء فً االخطار":نظرا لضربات جوٌة محتملة ضد سورٌا بواسطة صوارٌخ جو — أرض أو صوارٌخ كروز على مدار الـ 72 ساعة القادمة ،وإمكانٌة حدوث تعطل دوري لمعدات المالحة الرادٌوٌةٌ ،جب إٌالء االهتمام لخطط عملٌات الطٌران فً منطقة شرق البحر المتوسط /نٌقوسٌا".

Foreign Minister Retno LP Marsudi met with Ethiopian Airlines CEO Tewolde Gebremariam on the sidelines of the Indonesia-Africa Forum in Nusa Dua, Bali, on Wednesday. ―We talked about connectivity because it matters in supporting economic, trade and people-to-people cooperation,‖ said Retno after the meeting. ―Hence, the agreement on the direct flight is a breakthrough for Indonesia-Africa economic ties,‖ she added. Retno further said a lack of connectivity had been an issue that hindered Indonesia and Africa from boosting trade and investment cooperation.

Alitalia sets off for South Africa once again Alitalia resumed service to Johannesburg on 8 April, ending a 16year absence for the SkyTeam member on the route from Rome Fiumicino. Seen speaking at the inaugural flight ceremony in the Italian capital is Fabio Lazzerini, CCO of Alitalia. The Italian flag carrier will operate a four times weekly service between the two airports. Alitalia’s inaugural service, operated by one of the airline’s A330s, touched down in Johannesburg from Rome Fiumicino shortly after 08:00 the following morning. A cake made-up just part of the celebrations which welcomed the SkyTeam carrier back to the country, a market it has not been present in for 16 years. Alitalia returned to South Africa on 8 April, ending a 16-year hiatus of serving the African nation. The airline will now operate a four times weekly service between Rome Fiumicino (FCO) and Johannesburg (JNB) using its fleet of 250-seat A330-200s. The route faces no direct competition. Alitalia CCO Fabio Lazzerini said of the new service: ―We are delighted to be back in South Africa and especially Johannesburg Airport, which remains the busiest airport in Africa and a gateway to the region. This was always an important market for us and we are pleased that the process of restructuring and realignment of Alitalia has now permitted us to return.‖ Bongiwe Pityi, GM of Johannesburg Airport, added to Lazzerini‘s comments: ―The leadership team of the airport is very pleased to welcome Alitalia to South Africa, as well as to one of Africa‘s leading hubs. It is such a great pleasure that we can rekindle the relationship we previously shared for many years.‖ On 3 April, the SkyTeam carrier also commenced flights between Milan Linate (LIN) and Madrid (MAD). The 1,176-kilometre sector is flown 12 times weekly by Alitalia‘s E175 fleet and will encounter direct competition from Iberia, which itself operates the airport pair on a four times daily basis.

Qantas set to launch Perth-Johannesburg flights EXCLUSIVE | Qantas plans to expand its international footprint in Perth with non-stop flights to Johannesburg expected to launch in December 2018. Internal airline schedules sighted by Australian Business Traveller but yet to be made public – and thus subject to change – indicate the direct flights would run four times per week from December 7 on an Airbus A330-200 jet. On Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, flight QF65 would depart Perth at 12:45pm to reach South Africa approximately 11 hours later, in the early evening (local time). On the return journey, QF66 would depart Johannesburg at 10:25pm on the same calendar days, touching down in Perth at 2pm the following afternoon with a shorter flight time of 9hrs 35mins. Again, those details are subject to change but Qantas' intention seems clear. A spokesperson for Qantas offered the following guarded and carefully-parsed comment: "We‘re always looking at new routes but we have nothing to announce at the moment." The move would see Qantas take on Star Alliance member and Virgin Australia partner South African Airways and its daily Perth-Johannesburg flight, which Qantas used to sell to its own passengers via a codeshare agreement before winding up that deal in May 2014. Qantas also runs Sydney-Johannesburg Boeing 747 flights six days each week as QF63 from Sydney and QF64 from Johannesburg, with plans to boost this to a daily service during July and August 2018 to cater to increased demand.

Go flat out to Jo'burg It‘s likely that business class passengers on Qantas' PerthJohannesburg flights will be able to relax and unwind in Qantas‘ new Business Suites (pictured below), which offer direct aisle access and convert into a fully-flat bed. Two of the Roo‘s Airbus A330-200 jets continue to fly with older SkyBeds in a 2-2-2 layout, often appearing on flights between Sydney and Beijing, although Qantas plans to upgrade these aircraft to the newer Business Suites. The Johannesburg flights would depart from the new international wing of Qantas' Perth T3 terminal rather than the T1 international terminal. However, eligible travellers would likely have to make do with Qantas' domestic business lounge at Perth's T4 terminal ahead of their flight as the newly-opened Perth International Transit Lounge is reserved for passengers on the Perth-London Boeing 787 service.

Gulf Air tries to reclaim its crown After decades of missed opportunities, Bahrain's flag carrier has a strategy for growth. WITH their geographical advantage for connecting flights between far-flung places, there is plenty to keep the airlines of the Gulf countries busy. Yet Bahrain‘s skies are nearly empty compared with its neighbours. About 9m passengers used its airport last year, far fewer than the 88m for Dubai, 37m for Qatar and 26m for Abu Dhabi. The difference is striking given that Gulf Air, Bahrain‘s flag carrier, was for decades the most prestigious airline in the Middle East. In its heyday in the 1970s and early 1980s, none of its three neighbours even had national airlines. Geopolitics was the driving force behind Gulf Air‘s rise and fall. During the 19th century, Bahrain was a protectorate of the British empire and the busiest trading centre in the Gulf. In the 1950s, its strategic importance motivated British Overseas Airways Corporation, at the time Britain‘s flag carrier, to become a major shareholder in Gulf Aviation, the island‘s fledgling local airline. By the 1970s Bahrain had the most developed airline infrastructure in the region. Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Oman rushed to buy stakes in the Bahraini company, forming a multinational carrier: Gulf Air. This accident of history secured Bahrain‘s dominance in the skies at a time when air travel was growing in popularity. But in the first decade of this century, Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Oman pulled out of Gulf Air and pumped vast sums of money into their own national airlines. Emirates, Dubai‘s flag carrier, had already overtaken Gulf Air as the region‘s best-known airline. It did so not by attracting passengers to Dubai itself, but by marketing the city as a stopover for intercontinental flights.

In 2014, when Gulliver last wrote about the airline, Bahrain‘s transport minister was publicly bemoaning how ―no one wants‖ the top job at the company. But, last November, the kingdom found new hope in the form of Kresimir Kucko, the former boss of Croatia Airlines, another flag carrier struggling to find its path in a region dominated by larger competitors. Mr Kucko‘s strategy is now gradually taking shape. Gulf Air has committed to take delivery of 39 new aircraft by 2023. This year will see the launch of eight new destinations in the Middle East, north Africa, India and the Caucasus. Next year will bring a renewed push into Western Europe, where the airline used to have a deep footprint. Gulf Air also plans to tap into the connecting flows that proved so lucrative for its neighbours, specifically by connecting Africa with China. Eventually, North America will also be targeted. ―The question is when‖, Mr Kucko says. ―We need to build a sufficient and sustainable feeder network in order to make this…biggest jump in our network.‖ A return to growth will please Bahrain‘s rulers, who have always considered Gulf Air an ambassador for the kingdom and a catalyst for economic growth. Its high-end reputation allows the airline to compete on quality rather than quantity—a fight it lost years ago. But the strategy is risky. Few companies make money while investing heavily in new markets, and Bahrain‘s parliament has never been shy about holding the airline to account. Lawmakers will need to be patient if Mr Kucko is to have any chance of writing a new chapter in the history of Gulf aviation.

Air passengers grounded in strike-hit Germany, FRANKFURT: Tens of thousands of air passengers were stranded on Tuesday as aviation giants Lufthansa and Air France were hit by strikes that crippled traffic at several major European airports. Germany‘s biggest carrier Lufthansa was forced to cancel 800 out of 1,600 scheduled flights, including 58 long-haul flights, as German public sector workers including ground crew and airport firefighters walked out between 5:00am and 6:00pm (0300 and 1600 GMT). Tuesday‘s ―warning strike‖ hit Germany‘s biggest airport Frankfurt as well as other regional hubs such as Munich, Cologne and Bremen. Half of the flights at Munich were delayed or cancelled according to the union Verdi, reported national news agency DPA. Beyond airports, local transport, kindergartens, rubbish collection and hospitals were also affected as civil servants walked out to demand a 6.0-percent pay raise for the 2.3 million people working for Germany‘s federal, state and local governments. Sybille Metzler, who was due to travel to Amsterdam for a meeting, turned up at Frankfurt airport despite warnings from the operator that her flight had been cancelled. ―I know, but I wanted to see if I can still get there, because it won‘t work with the train,‖ the 41-year-old management accountant told AFP. In an unrelated industrial action in France, air traffic was also severely disrupted as the country‘s biggest airline Air France was forced to cancel one in four flights in the sixth round of strikes launched by its employees since February. The group said the strikes between Feb.22 and April 11 are estimated to cost 170 million euros ($210 million). But several Air France unions have called four further days of industrial action in April as they seek 6.0 per cent of pay raise.

Dubai: Passengers flying out of Dubai International Airport may have to pay extra charges for baggage which require manual handling, Gulf News can reveal. A new fee has been introduced for manual handling of baggage that do not conform to standard size and weight at Dubai International Airport. It has been introduced by Dnata, which provides ground-handling service for airlines operating at Dubai International Airport. At least one airline, Air India, has said the fee is Dh45 per piece of such baggage but the fee may vary for other carriers depending on their contracts with Dnata. In a notification to travel agents, India‘s national carrier explained in detail the types of baggage that will be charged because they are ‗out of gauge‘. Dnata confirmed the introduction of the new fee in a statement sent to Gulf News. ―Dnata has updated its standard ground-handling terms and conditions with carriers, to cover the additional manual handling services for ―out of gauge‖ baggage — a policy that is now being strictly enforced at Dubai International Airport,‖ it said. Aviation sources said ―out of gauge )OOG(‖ baggage are too large, too light, too heavy, too fragile, or not having a flat surface. These include TVs, flat panel displays and baggage that can damage or slow down the baggage system. ―

Dnata did not provide the charges it is taking from different airlines and added that it cannot comment on behalf of the carriers. However, Dnata insisted that passengers will be charged only if the carriers elect to do so. Since airlines operating to same destinations have to renew their contracts at different times, passengers flying airlines that do the renewals early will be the ones to be affected first, sources said. Airlines like Sri Lankan, the flag carrier of Sri Lanka, said they are yet to finalise the new contract with Dnata. ―Each contract is negotiated separately,‖ said a senior official with Sri Lankan Airlines. Emirates revises excess baggage charges Meanwhile, Emirates has revised excess baggage charges. ―Emirates has reviewed its excess baggage charges to benefit customers. The changes are applicable for tickets issued on or after April 8, 2018. We have also doubled the discount for online purchase additional baggage allowance to 20 per cent,‖ the airline said in astatement to Gulf News..
