تشارك الشركة الوطنٌة كناقل رسمى لوفود ملتقً الشباب المقرر انعقاده غداً والذي تستضٌفه مدٌنة اسوان "عاصمة الشباب األفرٌقً" خالل الفترة من 16وحتى 18مارس الجارى ،وذلك فى إطار إهتمام وزارة الطٌران المدنً برئاسه الفرٌق ٌونس المصري بتوفٌر كافة التسهٌالت الالزمة لوفود ملتقً الشباب العربى األفرٌقى. وتقدم الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران كافة التسهٌالت الالزمة وكل ما لدٌها من امكانات فً سبٌل انجاح هذا الملتقً وخروجه بالشكل الذي ٌلٌق بمكانة مصر وإمكانٌات الشركة الوطنٌة مصرللطٌران، سواء من خالل تكلٌف فرق عمل من مختلف التخصصات إلستقبال الوفود المختلفة وضٌوف مصر المشاركٌن فً هذا الحدث الهام أو بالتعاون مع كافة الجهات المعنٌة بتنظٌم الحدث . ومن المقرر ان تواصل الشركة زٌادة رحالتها المنتظمة واالضافٌة الً مدٌنه اسوان خالل فتره المإتمر حٌث سٌتم تسٌٌر عدد 27رحله منتظمه واضافٌه من 15وحتى 17مارس لنقل الوفود Headالمشاركه فً ملتقً الشباب ،وقد قامت الشركة بوضع شعار الملتقً علً ال للمقاعد و على غالف مجلة حورس التى توزع على متن طائراتها على جمٌع الرحالت rest الدولٌة و الداخلٌة للتروٌج للحدث ،وذلك فى إطار الدور الوطنى الذى تقوم به الشركه والترحٌب بضٌوف مصر بالصوره التى تلٌق باسم ومكانه الشركه الوطنٌة .

تقدم اللواء ثروت سوٌلم ،نائب الشرقٌة ،بطلب إحاطة إلى الدكتور على عبد العال ،رئٌس مجلس النواب ،موجه لوزٌر الطٌران المدنى ،بشؤن المغاالة فً أسعار تذاكر مصر للطٌران وتفاوت القٌمة عن الشركات األخرى ،مشٌرا إلى أنه ٌحمل عبئا كبٌرا على المواطن المصري. وأشار أٌضا فً طلبه ،إلى سوء وجبات مصر للطٌران فً الرحالت الخارجٌة والداخلٌة، مإكدا أن ارتفاع تذاكر مصر للطٌران ٌإثر سلبا على اقتصادٌات الشركة والسٌاحة المصرٌة. وأضاف سوٌلم ،أنه ال ٌوجد سبب أو تفسٌر لهذا االرتفاع فً أسعار التذاكر.

بوٌنغ ترضخ وتعلق تسلٌم طلبٌات الطائرة 737ماكس أعلنت شركة بوٌنغ األمٌركٌة ،الخمٌس ،أنها ستعلق تسلٌم طائراتها من طراز 737ماكس لعمالئها فً أعقاب منع هذا الطراز من التحلٌق فً عدة دول فً أنحاء العالم بما فً ذلك الوالٌات المتحدة. ومنعت أغلب الدول تحلٌق هذه الطائرات عقب تحطم طائرة تابعة للخطوط الجوٌة اإلثٌوبٌة ٌوم األحد الماضً ومقتل 157شخصا كانوا على متنها فً ثانً حادث لذات الطائرة الجدٌدة نسبٌا خالل خمسة أشهر. وفً أكتوبر سقطت طائرة تابعة لشركة لٌون إٌر فً إندونٌسٌا مما أودى بحٌاة 189شخصا كانوا على متنها. إلى ذلكٌ ،بدأ محققون فً فرنسا الٌوم الجمعة تحلٌل بٌانات الصندوقٌن األسودٌن للطائرة المنكوبةبحثا عن أدلة على سبب تحطمها الذي أدى إلى وقف تحلٌق أسطول بوٌنغ. وأحدثت احتماالت وجود أسباب مشتركة للحادثتٌن هزة قوٌة لقطاع الطٌران حول العالم وأثارت مخاوف بٌن الركاب كما دفعت أكبر شركة مصنعة للطائرات فً العالم لإلسراع بإثبات أمان الطراز الذي ٌدر الكثٌر من األرباح علٌها. وأوقفت دول حول العالم بٌنها الوالٌات المتحدة ،التً ترددت فً البداٌة ،تحلٌق الطائرات من ذات الطراز لكن أغلب شركات الطٌران تمكنت من التكٌف إلى حد كبٌر مع األمر بتغٌٌر الطائرة. وهناك طلبٌات تبلغ نحو خمسة آالف طائرة من طراز ماكس بما ٌعنً أن التبعات المالٌة للقطاع ستكون ضخمة. وبعد ما بدا أنه خالف بشؤن مكان إجراء التحقٌق فً الكارثة تم إرسال مسجل بٌانات الرحلة ومسجل أصوات قمرة القٌادة إلى بارٌس وتسلٌمهما إلى مكتب التحقٌق والتحلٌل لسالمة الطٌران المدنً (بً.إي.إٌه) وهً هٌئة فرنسٌة. وقالت الهٌئة الفرنسٌة إن التحلٌل الفنً للبٌانات سٌبدأ الجمعة وإن التوصل لنتائج مبدئٌة سٌستغرق عدة أٌام. االدارة العامة للعالقات العامة والمراسم الشركة القابضة لمصر للطيران
أسهم «بوٌنغ» تخسر 25ملٌار دوالر بسبب أزمة « 737ماكس»

Egyptair to add Washington to its destinations network
EGYPTAIR has announced the expansion of its network by operating 3 weekly direct flights to Washington -Dulles international airport, with its modern Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The new flights will start from the 3rd of June 2019.

1 Wide Open: EgyptAir 787 Business Class Awards To/From Washington
Several weeks ago EgyptAir announced that the airline will be launching flights between Cairo and Washington Dulles as of June 3, 2019. The airline will operate the flight 3x weekly, with the following schedule: MS981 Cairo to Washington Dulles departing 11:30PM arriving 5:40AM (+1 day) [Mon, Wed, Fri] MS982 Washington Dulles to Cairo departing 12:00PM arriving 4:50AM (+1 day) [Tue, Thu, Sat] This only represents EgyptAir’s second route to the US )after New York JFK(, and third route to North America )as they also fly to Toronto(. What’s most exciting about the route to me is that EgyptAir will use a 787-9 for their Washington Dulles route. EgyptAir is just about to take delivery of their first of six 787-9s, and this will be the first longhaul route that’s scheduled to feature the plane. While EgyptAir hasn’t yet revealed pictures of their new business class, we know that they’ll offer reverse herringbone seats, which are a huge improvement over their current business class seats. What we do know is that EgyptAir is very excited about the plane, and they’ve spent a lot of money creating accurate computer representations of what the plane will look like landing.

Anyway, while EgyptAir’s flight to Washington has now been on sale for a few weeks, up until now the airline hasn’t made any business class award seats available. That has finally changed. EgyptAir now seems to have three business class award seats available between Cairo and Washington every single day the flight operates. This availability was loaded in the past 24 hours, so I’m quite excited about that. As far as award pricing with some major programs, you can expect to pay the following for one-way business class between the US and North Africa: Air Canada Aeroplan: 82,500 miles Avianca LifeMiles: 78,000 miles United MileagePlus: 85,000 miles The great thing is that EgyptAir has a robust route network in the region, so this can be a great way to get to other points in Europe, Africa, Asia, etc. There’s potentially even a way to get significantly lower pricing. For example, I really want to review EgyptAir’s 787 business class, and I know exactly how I’ll do so. I’m going to Greece this summer. I could book a one-way ticket from Washington to Cairo with Aeroplan miles for 82,500 miles: This is possible because many programs charge based on your origin and destination, even if you transit a more expensive zone.

The first Boeing 787-9 destined for EgyptAir has completed its maiden flight from Boeing’s Everett facility, as it is prepared for delivery. The aircraft is one of six Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered Dreamliners that the Egyptian flag carrier is taking on lease from AerCap, according to Cirium’s Fleets Analyzer database.

Lufthansa Group orders B787s, A350s; starts A380 sell-off Lufthansa Group has announced significant additions to its widebody fleet order backlog given the upcoming retirement of select fourengined Airbus aircraft. In a statement, the German holding said it had ordered twenty B787-9s from Boeing - its first of the type - and twenty additional A350-900s from Airbus. Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l) is currently in the process of adding the first of twenty-five A350-900s on order from the Europeans of which twelve have thus far been delivered. Although the group will only decide where it will deploy the incoming widebodies in the future, it did hint at possible placements with its Swiss (LX, Zurich) and Austrian Airlines (OS, Vienna) subsidiaries, in particular the latter where the replacement of its six B767-300(ER)s and six B777-200(ER)s has been a long burning issue. Deliveries of the new aircraft will take place between late 2022 and 2027. In tandem with this announcement, Lufthansa Group also confirmed it will retire six of its fourteen A380-800s from service in 2022 and 2023. The affected aircraft have already been sold to an unspecified third party for an undisclosed sum. "Lufthansa continuously monitors the profitability of its world-wide route network," it said. "As a consequence, the group is reducing the size of its Airbus A380 fleet from 14 aircraft to eight for economic reasons. The structure of the network and the long-haul fleet, fundamentally optimized according to strategic aspects, will give the company more flexibility and at the same time increase its efficiency and competitiveness. This will of course also benefit Lufthansa’s customers." Lufthansa is also expected to retire various other fleet types from service over the coming years including its A340s (fifteen A340-300s and seventeen -600s) and B747-400s (of which it operates thirteen) given increasing age. For its part, Swiss operates five A340-300s.

Ukraine Int'l Airlines adds first E195
Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kiev Boryspil) has taken delivery of its first E195 after UR-EMG (msn 19000088) was ferried from ClermontFerrand to Kiev Boryspil on Tuesday, March 12. The carrier said the jet would be deployed into service later this month and would be followed by a second of the type, msn 19000069, later in the year. "This type of aircraft will allow the airline to work more efficiently, as it will be an adequate replacement for the Boeing 737 Classics that were completely withdrawn from UIA's fleet at the end of last year," UIA Communications Director Evgenia Satskaya said. "This replacement, in particular, will be particularly relevant to domestic flights, since not all regional airports in Ukraine are currently capable of receiving heavier and more passenger-intensive B737-800s." According to the ch-aviation fleets module, UIA also operates four other E190s (three -LRs and one -STD) on flights from Kiev Boryspil to Lviv, IvanoFrankivsk, Chernivtsi, Odesa, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, and Kharkiv domestically as well as to destinations across Eastern, Central, and Western Europe, Scandinavia, and the Middle East

1 Etihad Airways Claims Progress With Restructuring While Reporting Another Huge Loss A few years ago, Etihad Airways made a name for itself by taking on troubled airlines in Europe and elsewhere, with a plan to turn them around and feed their passengers into its global network. That strategy proved disastrous and these days the Abu Dhabi-based airline is the one that needs rescuing. Its latest set of results, released in limited form on March 14, showed a carrier which is continuing to shrink, with passenger numbers, cargo volumes and revenues all in decline. Last year Etihad carried 17.8 million passenger, compared to 18.6 million in 2017. Total passenger capacity declined by 4% to 110 billion available seat kilometres as the airline scaled back its fleet and cut the number of routes it flies. Its seat load factor fell from 78.5% to 76.4% over the year. In a more positive sign, passenger revenues held steady at $5bn for the year – suggesting the airline has been able to attract more high-paying passengers and manage its operations more efficiently. But overall group revenues were down by 2.3%, from $6bn to $5.86bn. In terms of cargo, revenues fell from $877m to $827m and total freight capacity fell by 21% to 3.4 billion tonne kilometres. The result of all these trends is that the airline remains deep in the red, with a loss of $1.28bn for 2018. That was an improvement from the $1.52bn reported a year before, but the five-year turnaround plan being pursued by the airline’s management team since 2017 clearly still has a long way to go. The airline claimed that its “core operating performance“ was better than expected, but the published numbers may not tell the full story. The airline said in a footnote to its results that they cover its “core airline operations only and exclude any extraordinary or one-off items“. More rationalisation of its operations seems inevitable. Etihad cut $416m in costs over the past year, leaving total costs at $6.9bn. Unprofitable routes to Dallas / Fort Worth, Edinburgh, Tehran and six other cities were cut from its network in 2018, although some new routes were also added, to Baku and Barcelona, both of which are outperforming expectations according to the airline. Frequency and capacity have also been increased on other high-demand routes, such as to Seoul, South Korea. Overall, Etihad now serves 91 destinations, down from 116 in 2015.

2 The airline has also been scaling back its airport lounge operations, handing the running of its facilities for first and business class passengers in the likes of London and Sydney to a third-party provider, UK-based No. 1 Lounges. There has also been a rethink of its fleet strategy. Last month it emerged that the airline was restructuring its large orders for new planes from Boeing and Airbus, which most analysts took to be a coded way of cutting those orders. While its fleet is shrinking, Etihad is still adding some new planes. During 2018, it took delivery of eight new Boeing aircraft, but overall its total fleet size at year-end was 106, down from 115 a year earlier and as much as 121 in 2015. Etihad is not the only major Gulf airline to be facing difficulties these days. Qatar Airways fell into the red in 2018 as passenger numbers dropped amid the boycott of the country by Bahrain, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. On the other hand, Dubai-based Emirates has continued to grow and it remains the clear leader in the region. In its most recent result, covering the year to March 31, 2018, it reported a 4.3% rise in passenger numbers to almost 58.5 million and an 8.5% increase in revenues to AED92bn ($25bn). Profits more than doubled to AED2.8bn. The diverging fortunes of the UAE’s two main carriers has led on occasion to speculation that Emirates might be brought in to rescue Etihad, although the local authorities have always denied there are any plans to merge the two airlines. In what could be read as a veiled call to the Abu Dhabi government to continue its support for the airline, Etihad’s group chief executive officer Tony Douglas said at the time of the latest results being released that “Our transformation is instilling a renewed sense of confidence in our customers, our partners and our people. As a major enabler of commerce and tourism to and from Abu Dhabi, we are intrinsically linked to the continued success of the emirate.“ Etihad’s troubles appear to be contributing to reduced activity at its hub, Abu Dhabi International airport. The operator there, Abu Dhabi Airports Company, reported in May last year that passenger numbers were down 11% year-on-year in April, aircraft movements were 14% lower and cargo volumes were down 5.5%. It has not published any traffic figures since then.
