«مصر للطيران» تستقبل طائرتها الثامنة من طراز إيرباص A220-300 إنجي خليفة
تسلمت الشركة الوطنية مصر للطيران صباح اليوم السبت 18يناير ،الطائرة الثامنة من طراز إيرباص A220-300وذلك في مطار القاهرة ،قادمة من مصنع إيرباص بمونتلاير لتنضم ألسطول الشركة . ٌذكر أن شركة مصر للطٌران أول مشغل للطراز فً شمال أفرٌقٌا والشرق األوسط وذلك من إجمالً 12طائرة من الطراز ذاته ،تعاقدت علٌها الشركة الوطنٌة ومن المقرر وصولها جمٌعا قبل منتصف العام المقبل ،فً ضوء تنفٌذ خطة مصر للطٌران اإلستراتٌجٌة فً تحدٌث وتطوٌر أسطولها ،وبما ٌناسب احتٌاجات السوق وخطط الشركة للتوسع فً خطوط التشغٌل. ً ً وابتكارا على مستوى العالم فً فئة الطائرات ذات تطورا وٌعد هذا الطراز من بٌن الطائرات األكثر الممر الواحد ،بما ٌضمه من مقصورة ممٌزة ومقاعد وأرفف تخزٌن حقائب واسعة ،بخالف النوافذ الكبٌرة التً توفر المزٌد من الضوء الطبٌعً واالستمتاع بالسماء وتوافر خدمات االنترنت والـ video streaming. وتسعى مصر للطٌران لتحقٌق تجربة سفر ممٌزة تلبً رغبات عمالئها على متن هذا الطراز والذي ٌغطً وجهاتها الداخلٌة واإلقلٌمٌة فً شبكة خطوطها الممتدة حول العالم.

احمد رفعت صديق أنقذت العناية اإللهية ،راكبة تشادية مسافرة على خطوط شركة مصر للطيران ،في رحلة متجهه من القاهرة ألنجمينا بتشاد. وأصٌبت الراكبة بأزمة ربوٌة تنفسٌة عنٌفة وانخفاض فً مستوى السكر ،وتصادف وجود الطبٌب عبداللطٌف المناعً ،ضمن ركاب الطائرة ،سارع بعمل اإلسعافات الالزمة للمصابة ،مع طاقم الطائرة ،وأعطاها المحالٌل الالزمة واألكسجٌن ،وتابعها على مدار ساعتٌن حتى تماثلت للشفاء. وقدم كابتن الطائرة وطاقمها ،الشكر للطبٌب ،الذي قال إنه قام بواجبه كطبٌب ،مشٌ ًدا بجاهزٌة الطائرة لإلسعافات وتعاون طاقم ضٌافتها.

Ethiopian Airlines plans to begin construction of new $5 billion airport by July
Ethiopian Airlines will be constructing a new $5 billion airport later this year, Tewolde Gebremariam, group chief executive officer was quoted by Ethiopian News Agency. The airport, which will cover an area of 35 square kilometres, will be built in Bishoftu, a town 39 kilometres southeast of Addis Ababa, and have the capacity to handle 100 million passengers a year. The move is due to the outgrowing capacity at its current base in Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. ”Bole Airport is not going to accommodate us; we have a beautiful expansion project. The airport looks very beautiful and very large but with the way that we are growing, in about three or four years we are going to be full,” he said. Bole International Airport has a passenger capacity of about 19 million passengers annually. 2 Tewolde noted that the price tag of the new airport was higher than the $4 billion cost of building the still-to-be-completed Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam on the Nile, with the projected passenger numbers topping those at Dubai’s international airport. The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation quoted Tewolde as saying construction will start in the next six months. He told that the airport may be bigger than France’s Charles de Gaulle. A $225 million terminal, funded by China and built by China Communications Construction Company, was completed at Bole in January last year. The Chinese company is presently working on a $138 million project to expand and renovate Terminal 1. Ethiopian has 116 aircraft in its fleet and its net profit rose to $260 million in its 2018/19 financial year from $207.2 million a year earlier.

World Energy, World Fuel Services to increase availability of sustainable aviation fuel World Energy and World Fuel Services have launched a World Economic Forum (WEF) Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) programme designed to increase SAF availability and supply chain efficiency within the aviation industry. The programme will be available for business jets travelling to the WEF 50th annual meeting, enabling lower carbon emissions on all flights departing from Jet Aviation’s facilities at Teterboro (TEB), Boston/Bedford (BED) or Dulles International (IAD) to Davos in Switzerland for the event in January. While Jet Aviation does not offer SAF at the three airports, the WEF SAF programme allows fuel consumers at these locations to opt-in and claim SAF environmental benefits. Under the programme, for each gallon of conventional fuel purchased at TEB, BED or IAD, an equivalent amount of conventional fuel will be replaced with SAF on flights departing from Jet Aviation’s Van Nuys (VNY) airport in California. ”In the future, this type of programme would enable low-carbon SAF purchases regardless of geography,” said Darren Fuller, vice-president of business development for business aviation at World Fuel Services. ”Our customers that want to participate are spread all over the world, and unfortunately the supply of SAF is not yet broad-based.
