شهدت حركة مطار القاهرة الدولً ،صباح الٌوم الخمٌس ،تأخر إقالع 3رحالت طٌران دولٌة أكثر من ساعة عن موعد اإلقالع المقرر لها بسبب ظروؾ التشؽٌل وأعمال الصٌانة ،وأفادت مصادر مالحٌة بمطار القاهرة ،أن رحلة شركة نسما للطٌران 170المتجهة إلى جدة تأخرت ساعتٌن عن موعد اإلقالع المقرر لها بسبب ظروؾ التشؽٌل ،كما تأخرت رحلة طٌران اإلتحاد 658المتجهة إلى أبو ظبً ساعة ونصؾ لظروؾ التشؽٌل ،وأضافت المصادر أن رحلة الخطوط البرٌطانٌة 154المتجهة إلى لندن تأخرت ساعة ونصؾ لظروؾ التشؽٌل. وأوضحت المصادر أن الحركة الركابٌة والجوٌة بمطار القاهرة الدولً شهدت خالل الساعات الماضٌة انتظاما كبٌرا فً حركة الطٌران الوافدة والمؽادرة خاصة رحالت الشركة الوطنٌة مصر للطٌران المتجهة إلى عدة دول اوروبٌة ،بدون إلؽاء رحالت وفقا لجدول التشؽٌل المقرر لها ،حٌث لم ٌتلقً برج المراقبة إٌه اخطارات من جانب شركات الطٌران العاملة بالمطار ٌ ،فٌد بإلؽاء رحالت تابعة لهم . وتقدم السلطات المختصة بشرطة مٌناء القاهرة الجوي ،كافة الخدمات والتسهٌالت والتٌسٌرات للوفود الركابٌة والسٌاحة بمرحلتى السفر والوصول بجمٌع صاالت المطار ،بالتنسٌق مع الجهات المعاونة والعالقات العامة بشركتى مٌناء القاهرة الجوي ومصر للطٌران. بوٌنج تصدم أكبر شركة طٌران منخفض التكلفة فً العالم
اعتبرت شركة "ساوث وٌست أٌرالٌنز" أكبر شركة طٌران منخفض التكلفة فً العالم ،إن إعالن بوٌنج تأخٌر تشؽٌل طرازات "ماكس "737بمثابة صدمة لخططها. وقال جاري كٌللً الربٌس التنفٌذي لشركة الطٌران األمرٌكٌة ،إن إعالن بوٌنج األخٌر بشأن تأجٌل موعد استبناؾ تشؽٌل الطابرة طراز 737ماكس كان "مفاجأة ؼٌر سارة" بالنسبة للشركة باعتبارها أكبر مشؽل للطراز فً الوالٌات المتحدة. بوٌنج تتوقع عودة " 737ماكس" للخدمة منتصؾ 2020 األحوال الجوٌة تعاكس بوٌنج ..تأجٌل أولى رحالت طابرات " 777إكس" وانتقد ربٌس "ساوث وٌست أٌرالٌنز" تأخٌر السماح بإعادة تشؽٌل الطابرات طراز بوٌنج 737ماكس. وقال" :أصبتنا صدمة فً أوابل ٌناٌر الحالً عندما ؼٌرت بوٌنج الجدول الزمنً إلعادة تشؽٌل الطابرة 737ماكس وأوصت بتدرٌب طٌاري هذا الطراز على أنظمة محاكاة قبل العودة إلى التحلٌق بالطابرة فً الجو". وكان كٌلً تلقى مفاجأة أخرى خالل األسبوع الحالً عندما قالت بوٌنج إن إعادة تشؽٌل الطابرة 737ماكس قد تتأجل إلى منتصؾ العام الحالً. وقال كٌلً فً مقابلة مع "بلومبرج"" :كنا نأمل فً أن نتمكن من إعادة تشؽٌل الطابرة قبل ذلك ..ال أفهم لماذا استؽرق األمر كل هذا الوقت الطوٌل". ٌذكر أن سلطات السالمة الجوٌة فً العالم كانت قررت فً مارس/آذار الماضً وقؾ تشؽٌل جمٌع طابرات طراز بوٌنج 737ماكس فً أعقاب حادث سقوط طابرة من هذا الطراز تابعة للخطوط الجوٌة اإلثٌوبٌة. وجاء ذلك بعد نحو 5أشهر من سقوط طابرة أخرى من نفس الطراز فوق إندونٌسٌا فً أكتوبر/تشرٌن األول 2018مما أدى إلى مقتل مبات األشخاص. وتعكس تصرٌحات كٌلً اإلحباط المتزاٌد فً أوساط صناعة الطٌران العالمٌة بسبب استمرار منع تشؽٌل طابرات 737 ماكس وهو ما ٌكبد شركات الطٌران خسابر كبٌرة نظرا ألن هذا الطراز كان ٌقدم معادلة مناسبة فٌما ٌخص الحجم والتكلفة. وبحسب كٌلً ،فإن منع تشؽٌل هذه الطابرات أجبر شركته على تقلٌص عدد رحالتها ،مما أضاع علٌها تقدٌم خدمات لحوالً 7مالٌٌن عمٌل منذ مارس /آذار الماضً.

شركة طٌران مالٌزٌة تلؽى رحالتها لمدٌنة صٌنٌة بسبب فٌروس كورونا الجدٌد
أعلنت شركة طٌران "إٌر آسٌا" المالٌزٌة إلؽاء جمٌع رحالتها إلى مدٌنة "ووهان" الصٌنٌة حتى 28من شهر ٌناٌر الجارى بسبب تفشى فٌروس كورونا الجدٌد ،ذكرت ذلك قناة "سكاى نٌوز" البرٌطانٌة الناطقة باإلنجلٌزٌة ،الٌوم الخمٌس ،دون التطرق إلى المزٌد من التفاصٌل بهذا الصدد. ٌُشار إلى أن فٌروس كورونا ٌمكن أن ٌصٌب الحٌوانات والبشر ،وٌسبب مجموعة من األمراض التً تتراوح بٌن نزالت البرد الشابعة وأخرى شدٌدة مثل تلك الناجمة عن المتالزمة التنفسٌة الحادة (سارس) ومتالزمة الشرق األوسط التنفسٌة (مٌرس). ذكر التلفزٌون الرسمً الصٌنً ،الٌوم الخمٌس ،أن الصٌن أكدت ارتفاع عدد حاالت اإلصابة بفٌروس كورونا الجدٌد إلى 571حالة.وبلػ عدد الوفٌات جراء اإلصابة بالفٌروس 17حالة بحلول نهاٌة أمس األربعاء وجمٌعها فً إقلٌم هوبً بوسط البالد.وكانت لجنة الصحة الوطنٌة بالصٌن ،قالت أمس األربعاء ،إنه تأكد إصابة 440شخصا بفٌروس كورونا الجدٌد فً 13إقلٌما بالصٌن حتى أول أمس ،الثالثاء ،وإن عدد الوفٌات بلػ 9حاالت وثمة أدلة على انتقال العدوى التً تصٌب الجهاز التنفسى من مرٌض إلى آخر. وكان قد أُعلن فً وقت سابق أن العدد اإلجمالً ٌزٌد على ،300وقال لً بن ،نابب وزٌر اللجنة ،لوسابل اإلعالم إنه لن ٌسمح بدخول الماشٌة الحٌة مدٌنة ووهان بوسط الصٌن والتً ظهر فٌها الفٌروس. كان طارق جسارٌفٌتش ،المتحدث باسم منظمة الصحة العالمٌة ،قال أن المنظمة الدولٌة ال تجد حتى اآلن أٌة دواعً لفرض قٌود على السفر أو التجارة مع المناطق المضارة بفٌروس كورونا الجدٌد والذى بدأ ظهوره فً ووهان بالصٌن وانتشر إلى تاٌالند وكورٌا والٌابان خالل األٌام األخٌرة. وأعلن المتحدث -فً مؤتمر صحفى فى جنٌؾ الثالثاء ،أن لجنة الطوارئ ستنعقد ؼدا فً جنٌؾ بدعوة من مدٌر عام المنظمة الدولٌة إلسداء المشورة إلٌه فٌما إذا كان الوضع ٌشكل حالة طوارئ صحٌة ذات اهتمام دولً وما هً التوصٌات التً ٌنبؽً وضعها. وقال المتحدث إن هناك 278حالة إصابة مؤكدة بالفٌروس الجدٌد فً جمٌع أنحاء العالم وتم اإلبالغ عنها رسمٌا فً الصٌن ،وحالتٌن فً تاٌالند ،وحالة واحدة فً الٌابان وحالة فً جمهورٌة كورٌا ،إضافة إلى اإلبالغ عن ست حاالت وفاة.

إرجاء جدٌد لرحلة بوٌنػ " 777إكس" األولى بسبب سوء الطقس
أعلنت مجموعة "بوٌنػ" ،الخمٌس ،أن الرحلة األولى لطابرة المسافات الطوٌلة " 777إكس" ،والتً كان مقررا أن تنطلق من ضواحً سٌاتل فً شمال ؼربً الوالٌات المتحدة ،فً وقت الحق الٌوم ،أُرجبت إلى موعد الحق بسبب سوء األحوال الجوٌة. وقال عمالق صناعة الطٌران األمٌركً فً بٌان مقتضب" :نحن نرجا موعد الرحلة األولى للطابرة 777إكس والتً كانت مقررة ٌوم ٌ 23ناٌر ،بسبب الطقس" ،مشٌراً إلى أن الفرق المسؤولة عن تنظٌم هذه الرحلة المهمة للؽاٌة فً حٌاة الطابرة ٌدرسون إمكانٌة الطٌران ٌوم الجمعة. وكانت الرحلة األولى لهذا الطراز الجدٌد من طابرات المسافات الطوٌلة مقررة أساسا ً فً صٌؾ ،2019لكنها أُرجبت بسبب مشاكل فً محرك "جً إي 9إكس" الجدٌد الذي تصنعه شركة "جنرال إلكترٌك" ،إضافة إلى صعوبات تتعلق بعمل األجنحة والبرامج المعلوماتٌة. ومن المقرر أن تنطلق الرحلة من مطار "بوٌنػ فٌلد" الضخم الذي تمتلكه بوٌنػ قرب سٌاتل. وبحسب األرصاد الجوٌة فإن المنطقة ستشهد الخمٌس هطول أمطار وهبوب رٌاح. وخالل الرحلة التجرٌبٌة تخضع الطابرة لسلسلة اختبارات وتجارب أثناء الطٌران للتحقق من سالمة عمل كل أجهزتها. وإذا جرت كل األمور على ما ٌرام خالل الرحلة التجرٌبٌة تتقدّم عندها بوٌنػ بطلبات الحصول على التراخٌص الالزمة من سلطات الطٌران المدنً. وطابرة " 777إكس" ،التً تتراوح سعتها بٌن 384و 426راكباً ،مصممة لمنافسة طابرة "إٌرباص إٌه "350وقد حصلت "بوٌنػ" حتى الٌوم على طلبات شراء 340طابرة من هذا الطراز ؼالبٌتها من 7شركات طٌران عالمٌة ضخمة هً طٌران اإلمارات ولوفتهانزا وكاثاي باسٌفٌك والخطوط الجوٌة القطرٌة والخطوط الجوٌة السنؽافورٌة. وتعتزم بوٌنػ تسلٌم أولى الطابرات من هذا الطراز مطلع العام المقبل.

737 Max engine software revised to address icing thrust loss Boeing 737 Max operators are to be instructed to update engine-control software to address a loss of thrust issue, attributed to icing, on the type’s CFM International Leap-1B powerplants. At least two occurrences have been investigated which Leap-1Bs suffered temporary loss of thrust control as a result of icing in engine pressure lines, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency states. This is despite a previous update to the Leap-1B software which was introduced after a similar problem affected the Leap-1A engine for the Airbus A320neo family. Instances of Leap-1As being unable to accelerate to target thrust during takeoff had prompted analysis which determined that water could accumulate and freeze inside the pressure sensor lines or system, possibly resulting in erroneous pressure readings by the full-authority digital engine control. CFM developed new electronic engine control software to handle erroneous readings more effectively, and this was applied not just to the Leap-1A but also the similar -1B. But EASA says icing-related loss of thrust control has occurred on Leap-1Bs which had already been updated with the revised software. CFM has since revised the software to “improve detection and accommodation” of erroneous pressure readings, and EASA is to require 737 Max operators to modify the operating software configuration. The change is among a series of updates to the airworthiness limitations section of the Leap-1B engine shop manual. This revision enhances inspection of stage-two high-pressure turbine rotor discs, as a precaution against uncontained failure, after discovery of a subsurface anomaly in a part manufactured from the same disc alloy. It also adapts instructions for high-pressure turbine static structure inspections after incidents relating to fuel-nozzle coking and “thermal distress”, says EASA, and updates inspection and in-service limits to address radial drive shaft bearing cage failures.

1 Swiss completes Airbus A340 interior upgrade programme Swiss has completed a cabin refurbishment programme on its five remaining Airbus A340s, to bring their interiors in line with the Lufthansa subsidiary’s Boeing 777 long-haul fleet. The A340-300s were fitted with “totally new” cabins and for the first time feature passenger internet access, says Swiss.
“[We] now offer all our customers the same premium air travel experience, including in-flight internet connectivity, on all our long-haul flights,” states chief commercial officer Tamur Goudarzi Pour. The A340s have been equipped with Thomson Aero Seating VT36 first-class seats “similar” to those on Swiss’s 777-300ERs and the same Vantage business seats as on the long-haul twinjets. ZIM Flugsitz provided the economy seats, and Panasonic the IFE system. Additionally, Swiss has installed new galleys and LED mood lighting for all cabin sections. The airline’s website indicates a cabin layout of eight seats in first class, 47 in business and 168 in economy. Swiss said in 2018 that the refurbishment programme represented a Swfr100 million ($103 million) investment. The airline originally planned to assign the work to the Bordeaux facility of French MRO provider Sabena Technics. 2 While the refurbishments were scheduled to begin in 2017, EFW only received the first aircraft in December 2018. The Dresden-based company processed three aircraft and the other two went to HAECO in Hong Kong. Swiss says the first-class seat’s development and certification required “considerably more time” than previously planned. “Later, in view of the peak travel season over the [2019] summer, we have decided not to convert any further aircraft in order to minimise potential disruptions to our flight operations during this period,” the airline says. Swiss has declined to specify how long the A340s will remain part of its fleet. The airline operates the four-engined type from Zurich to Boston, Johannesburg and Shanghai. From 1 March, the aircraft will additionally be deployed on a new route to Osaka. Cirium fleet data shows that Swiss’s five A340s were built in 2003-04. The carrier’s fleet included 15 A340s between 2008 and 2016. Most of that fleet has been replaced with 777-300ERs. Some of the A340s have been transferred to Swiss’s leisure arm Edelweiss Air. Swiss’s long-haul fleet now comprises 12 777-300ERs and 14 A330-300s, in addition to the A340s. The A330s will undergo a cabin refurbishment programme in 2022, Swiss says. South African CAA calibration aircraft involved in accident near George South Africa’s civil aviation regulator is investigating an accident involving its flight inspection and calibration aircraft, which occurred shortly after it took off from George airport. The South African Civil Aviation Authority says the aircraft went missing shortly after departing the airport, on the south coast, at 10:40 on 23 January. It was carrying a crew of three. While it has not specified the aircraft type, the SACAA’s flight-inspection unit uses a Cessna Citation II – a 1986 airframe, registered ZS-CAR. It had been due to conduct a calibration service for George’s navigation aids. But the SACAA says the airport’s control tower could not make contact with the aircraft about 10min after take-off. It states that it immediately alerted search-and-rescue personnel and it remains in contact with search teams. The authority is due to provide more details on the situation at a 24 January briefing.
The flight-inspection unit, which originates from 1947, is based at Lanseria airport. Over the course of seven decades it has operated types including the Douglas DC-3, British Aerospace 125, and the South African government acquired the current Citation II jet in 1986. In its current form the inspection unit emerged when the SACAA was established in 1998. The regulator says it supports navigation aids across the Southern African Development Community including dozens of ILS, VOR and TACAN installations.

Vistara (UK, Delhi Int'l) will configure some of the narrowbody aircraft it is due to take over the next three years in a single-class, all-economy layout, Chief Executive Leslie Thng told India's PTI news agency. "We have factored in the operational challenges that may arise from having different fleets and are confident of successfully steering through them," he said. A joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines Group, the full-service airline currently operates most of its aircraft in a three-class layout with business, economy premium, and economy classes. According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, all thirteen of its A320-200s are equipped with eight business class seats, 24 economy premium seats, and 132 economy seats. Eighteen out of nineteen A320-200neo have the same configuration, while eight B737-800s taken over from Jet Airways (9W, Mumbai Int'l) have 12 business class seats and 156 economy class seats. The only aircraft outfitted with an all-economy layout is A320neo VT-TNN (msn 7560), which is deployed by the airline from Delhi Int'l to Ranchi and Udaipur. Thng did not name any specific routes on which the future all-economy class aircraft would be used other than saying that these will be either thinner, year-round routes or seasonal leisure services. He also did not specify how many the airline will take. "It is important to note that the three-class cabin configuration is one of Vistara's strongest USPs and we have every intention of offering it on as many routes as possible. We are not going to operate our all-economy aircraft under a sub-brand with a different business model," Thng added. Vistara has a further thirteen A320neo on firm order from Airbus but expects to take more aircraft from lessors, including its first A321-200neo. The incoming A320neo Family jets will replace the ex-Jet Airways B737-800s.

Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines suspend Iran flights
Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l) and fellow Lufthansa Group carrier Austrian Airlines (OS, Vienna), have both suspended all of their respective flights to Iran until the end of the Winter 2019/2020 season, March 28, as a result of the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. Over recent days, many other carriers, including Emirates (EK, Dubai Int'l) and airBaltic (BT, Riga), have had to reroute flights around Iranian airspace, with some requiring tech-stops given the added distance involved. In a statement posted on the German airline's website, and echoed on the Austrian Airlines homepage, Lufthansa said: "Due to the continuing unclear security situation for the airspace around Tehran Imam Khomeini airport and for Iranian airspace, Lufthansa Group airlines are suspending flights to/from Tehran until March 28, 2020, as a precaution." "Lufthansa Group Security continues to evaluate the security situation for arrivals and departures for Tehran airport and the entire Iranian airspace. As soon as we have detailed information, we will decide whether and when our Iranian flights can be operated again," continued the airline. Under normal circumstances, Lufthansa would offer a daily A340-300-operated service to the Iranian capital from Frankfurt Int'l. Austrian Airlines also offers a daily service from Vienna to Tehran, with the 1,710-nautical mile (3,167kilometre) sector being typically operated by its A319-100 and A320-100 fleet. Iran Air flies both city pairs, serving Vienna 2x weekly and Frankfurt 3x weekly. 1 Japan's ANA, Singapore Airlines eye JV in 1Q20 - report
ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) and fellow Star Alliance carrier Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) are hoping to sign a Joint Venture (JV) agreement by the end of this month, with the arrangement anticipated to launch in 2021 once the airlines receive the green light from antitrust authorities, the Nikkei Asian Review has reported. The two airlines have a long-standing codeshare, but the JV will allow them to coordinate schedules, networks, fares, inventory and pricing. Both airlines see the advantages in joining forces to combat the encroachment of low-cost carriers (LCC) in the region, as well as allowing them to better take on Middle Eastern players like Emirates (EK, Dubai Int'l) and Qatar Airways (QR, Doha Hamad Int'l) in terms of retaining Asia-Europe traffic. For the Japanese carrier, the link-up, if approved, will be its third JV, joining existing agreements with United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) and Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt Int'l). Singapore Airlines (SIA) currently has similar partnerships with Air New Zealand (NZ, Auckland Int'l), SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK, Copenhagen Kastrup), and Lufthansa.
