تغٌٌر طابرة مصر للطٌران بسبب عطل فنً للمرة الثانٌة
محروس هنداوي شهد مطار القاهرة الدولً الٌوم الخمٌس ،تؤخر إقالع طابرة مصر للطٌران المتجهة إلى الدمام ألكثر من ٙساعات بسبب عطل فنً فً أحد محركاتها وذلك للمرة الثانٌة للشركة خالل الٌوم الحالً. وصرحت مصادر مالحٌة بالمطار أنه أثناء استعداد قابد رحلة مصر للطٌران رقم ٔ ٙ8لإلقالع إلى الدمام ،فوجا بحدوث عطل فً أحد محركات الطابرة ،تم استدعاء فرٌق فنى إلصالح العطل، وعندما تعذر اإلصالح تم تغٌٌر الطابرة ،واستؤنفت رحلتها بعد تؤخٌر ألكثر من ٙساعات. ٌذكر أن شركة مصر للطٌران اضطرت لتغٌٌر طابرتها المتجهة إلى الخرطوم صباح الٌوم بسبب عطل فنً بكابٌنة القٌادة والذي تعذر إصالحه بعد تؤخر 7ساعات.

محروس هنداوي شهد مطار القاهرة الدولً الٌوم الخمٌس ،تؤخر رحلة جوٌة وتغٌٌر طابرتٌن تابعتٌن لشركة مصر للطٌران بسبب أعطال فنٌة فً كابٌنة القٌادة ومحرك الطابرة مما أدى إلى تؤخر ٖ رحالت ألوقات متفاوتة تراوحت ما بٌن الساعتٌن إلى 7ساعات ،مما ٌهدد اسم الشركة بٌن الشركات المنافسة لها فً سوق الطٌران. وقالت مصادر مالحٌة بمطار القاهرة ،إن الشركة اضطرت صباح الٌوم إلى تغٌٌر طابرتها رقم ٖ٘ 8المتجهة إلى الخرطوم الٌوم الخمٌس ،بعد فشل مهندسً الصٌانة فً إصالح عطل فنً فً كابٌنة القٌادة ،وذلك بعد تؤخر دام 7 ساعات إلصالح العطل. ضا تؤخر إقالع رحلة الشركة رقم ،ٙٙ7والمتجهة إلى جدة بسبب عطل فنً، وأضافت المصادر أن المطار شهد أٌ ً مما أدى إلى تؤخر إقالع الطابرة لمدة ساعتٌن عن الموعد المحدد لها بجدول التشغٌل إلصالح العطل. وأشارت المصادر إلى أن الشركة اضطرت ،مساء الٌوم الخمٌس ،إلى تغٌٌر طابرتها للمرة الثانٌة فً رحلتها رقم ٔ ٙ8المتجهة إلى الدمام ،وذلك بعد فشل مهندسً الصٌانة فً إصالح عطل فنً أصاب أحد محركاتها ،مما أدى إلى تؤخرها ٙساعات عن الموعد المحدد لها بجدول التشغٌل.

وفد رفٌع المستوى من األكادٌمٌة المصرٌة للطٌران ٌزور رواندا أشأ صرحت الدكتورة نمٌرة نجم سفٌرة مصر فً رواندا الٌوم الخمٌس ،بؤنه على خلفٌة الزخم الناتج عن زٌارة الربٌس عبد الفتاح السٌسً إلى رواندا خالل شهر ٌولٌو الماضً للمشاركة فً فعالٌات القمة األفرٌقٌة ،وفً إطار تعزٌز التواجد المصري فً القارة األفرٌقٌة ،واستكماال لجهود السفارة المصرٌة فً كٌجالً لتدعٌم أواصر التعاون فً مجال الطٌران ،زار وفد رفٌع المستوى من األكادٌمٌة المصرٌة لعلوم لطٌران العاصمة الرواندٌة لمدة ٖ أٌام ،لبحث إنشاء فرع ألكادٌمٌة للطٌران المصرٌة فً رواندا لتصبح مركزا إقلٌمٌا لتدرٌب العاملٌن فً مجال الطٌران فً منطقة شرق أفرٌقٌا ،وكذلك التشاور حول توقٌع مذكرة تفاهم فً مجاالت التدرٌب التً ٌتطلبها الجانب الرواندي. وكان فً استقبال الوفد السفٌرة الدكتورة نمٌرة نجم والملحق الدبلوماسً إٌناس طه ،التً رافقت الوفد المكون من اللواء طٌار /أحمد نجم مستشار ربٌس األكادٌمٌة ،والدكتور /عبد الكرٌم عبد العاطً عمٌد كلٌة المراقبة الجوٌة ،حٌث قابلوا عدد من مسبولً شركة الطٌران الوطنٌة "رواندا أٌر" ،والمدٌر العام لشركة Akagera Aviation### ###شركة الطٌران الخاصة الوحٌدة فً رواندا ،إلى جانب نابب ربٌس هٌبة الطٌران المدنً الرواندٌة وعدد من مدٌري قطاعات الهٌبة. والتقى الوفد بالوكٌل الدابم لوزارة البنٌة التحتٌة بنا ًء على طلبه ،وقدموا عرضا مختصرا عن األكادٌمٌة وإمكاناتها الهابلة ،حٌث رحب األخٌر بالتعاون مع الجانب المصرى فً مجال الطٌران التخاذ خطوات جادة إلنشاء أكادٌمٌة فً رواندا ،وتطرق إلى أهمٌة السعً لوصول مصر للطٌران إلى رواندا والعمل على شراكة بٌنها وبٌن شركة رواندا أٌر. وعلى الجانب اآلخر ،وجه الوفد المصري الدعوة لمسبولً شركة رواندا أٌر وهٌبة الطٌران المدنً لزٌارة القاهرة خالل شهر أكتوبر القادم ،وتفقد منشآت األكادٌمٌة المصرٌة واالطالع على البرامج المطبقة بها، واالتفاق على الخطوط العرٌضة لمشروع مذكرة التفاهم المقترحة.

كتب محمد طنطاوى شنت إدارة الرقابة على األغذٌة التابعة للحجر الصحى بمطار القاهرة الدولى ،حملة تفتٌش على الكافٌهات داخل صاالت السفر والوصول ،بعد تلقى شكوى من إحدى الراكبات. وأفاد مصدر مسبول بالمطار ،أن إحدى الراكبات قامت بتقدٌم شكوى عن تلقٌها قطعة "جاتوه" تحتوى من األعلى على آثار عفن واضحة ،فحولت الشكوى إلى إدارة الحجر الصحى. وأوضح المصدر ،أن لجنة من إدارة التفتٌش على األغذٌة بالحجر الصحى انتقلت إلى محل بالغ الشاكٌة ،وتبٌن وجود أطعمة فاسدة غٌر صالحة لالستخدام اآلدمى ،وحرر محضر بالواقعة وتم إخطار الجهات المعنٌة بالمخالفة. كما قامت اللجنة بالتفتٌش على الكافٌهات داخل الصاالت ،وتم رصد بعض المخالفات ،وأخذ عٌنات من بعض األطعمة األجنبٌة إلرسالها للمعامل المختصة لتحلٌلها.

كتب محمد طنطاوى أكد مصدر مسبول بوزارة الطٌران المدنى ،أن وفد سلطة الطٌران المدنى السوٌسرى أشاد باإلجراءات األمنٌة التى تتبعها المطارات المصرٌة. وقال المصدر إن وفد سلطة الطٌران المدنى السوٌسرى ،تفقد خالل زٌارته البالد اإلجراءات األمنٌة فى مطار القاهرة الدولى ،وعقد مباحثات مع عدد من المسبولٌن المصرٌٌن لالستفادة من الخبرات المصرٌة فى هذا المجال. وأوضح المصدر ،أن الوفد السوٌسرى أشاد بجمٌع مراحل عملٌات تفتٌش الركاب والحقابب التى تتم فى مطار القاهرة الدولى ،وكذلك المطارات المصرٌة ،الفتا إلى أن الوفد وعد بتعمٌم بعض التجارب التى تطبقها مصر من الناحٌة األمنٌة. وغادر الوفد مساء الٌوم القاهرة بعد زٌارة استمرت ٖ أٌام وكان فى وداعهم عدد من المسبولٌن بوزارة الطٌران المدنى.

De Juniac takes IATA helm, pledges to deliver value Alexandre de Juniac has become the new IATA director general and CEO, saying on his first day in the post that the industry and the association must move more rapidly to adapt to the accelerating pace of change in the world. De Juniac is the seventh IATA DG and CEO; he succeeds Tony Tyler who retired after more than five years in the post. De Juniac, who joins after being chairman and CEO of the Air France-KLM Group since 2013, was confirmed in his new post at the IATA AGM in Dublin in June. 2 De Juniac echoed remarks he made at the AGM, describing the air transport industry as ―the business of freedom‖ that helps people to explore the planet, do business globally and bridge cultures. ―As the industry’s global advocate, my mission is to rally our partners to ensure that nothing impedes the business of freedom,‖ he said. It may be some weeks or months before de Juniac’s agenda and long-term strategy for IATA become clear. There will be a settling in period and likely time set aside for de Juniac to get out of his Geneva office and meet with key member chiefs and significant regulatory heads around the world. His first major public speech as director general will be Sept. 22 at the IATA World Financial Symposium in Singapore. Along with his time at Air France-KLM, de Juniac has previous experience with industry, at French aerospace conglomerates Thales and Thompson CSF, and in the French government. He has pledged to bring that experience from all sides to his IATA role—and it is a job that requires deep industry understanding as well as an ability to coax consumer groups, regulatory authorities and governments to work with, rather than against airlines. Among some of Tyler’s top priorities when he joined IATA were preventing or reducing unnecessary or potentially harmful ―consumer‖ regulation, modernizing distribution, and streamlining security screening and processes. During his tenure, however, certain incidents required IATA to also address other issues. The disappearance of flight MH370 prompted a major initiative on continuous, global flight tracking; while the shooting down of MH17 placed focus on communications and information sharing with reluctant intelligence agencies. Within the global airline industry, there was also increasing tension about liberalization and the growth of the major Gulf carriers. IATA has no mandate on liberalization, but some members believe the association should take a stance. De Juniac’s remarks Thursday on the need to be quicker to change in a fast-changing world may hint at an acknowledgement that the rapid development of major global hubs in the Middle East and Turkey, the growth of low-cost carriers, as well as more liberalized air agreements that bring in new competition, add up to a new world that IATA members and the association itself must adapt to. Given de Juniac’s political background, it may also be an acknowledgement that world politics and economic upheavals cannot be separated from the business of airlines. The question is, what added value can a 72-year-old trade association bring to bear to its members so they are better prepared for that new environment? A major ongoing issue that will be common to both leaders is emissions. This will take center stage this fall at the ICAO Assembly in Montreal, where it is hoped an accord will be established for a global market-based measures (MBM) system to address aviation carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. While much of the ground work has been done in the months and years leading up to this assembly, clinching a good and workable system for airlines and the environment will be one of de Juniac’s first critical challenges.

Ashby had announced in January that he would be stepping down. Gurney is currently Emirates’ SVP-commercial operations in the Americas, a role he will leave in October to join oneworld. Gurney previously was group executive-commercial for oneworld member Qantas, and was the Australian carrier’s representative on the oneworld executive board. Gurney also previously worked for oneworld member British Airways. In his new role leading oneworld, Gurney will be based in New York. Ashby has led oneworld for five years. Oneworld’s members include airberlin, American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, LATAM Chile, LATAM Brasil, Malaysia Airlines, Qantas, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian, S7 Airlines and SriLankan Airlines, and around 30 affiliates.

ANA details Trent modifications on 787s Japanese carrier All Nippon Airways (ANA) says it will change Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines on Boeing 787s following the discovery of fatigue cracks in blades in the intermediate pressure turbine (IPT). Rolls already said it was re-designing the IPT blade, with the new design scheduled to be introduced by the end of this year. Rolls said it instituted a proactive maintenance program, replacing blades ―like-forlike‖ until the new design can be introduced. In a statement Sept. 1, ANA said Rolls had analyzed the faulty blades and concluded fatigue cracks in IPT blades were ―the result of sulfidation corrosion caused by chemical components in the atmosphere, and the propagation of these cracks correlates with the number of flight cycles that an engine has been used for.‖ ANA added that 787s operating on international routes fly through airspace in which higher concentrations of these chemical components are found and the engines operate at a higher power output. ―These factors were determined to be more likely to cause fatigue cracks. Therefore, we implemented a program to determine the number of flight cycles at which IPT blade cracks could occur based on analysis of each engine’s flight environment and flight count, and engines have been systematically replaced before that number of flight cycles is reached,‖ the Star Alliance carrier said. ANA said it was originally thought that 787s used on Japanese domestic sectors would be less susceptible to cracks because of lower levels of these chemicals in Japanese airspace and because the engines on those aircraft also have a lower power output. However, a similar crack was discovered on a domestic flight from Tokyo Haneda to Miyazaki Aug. 20. ―Therefore based on our own initiative we have decided to replace the engines used for domestic operations earlier than what was designated by Rolls-Royce,‖ ANA said. ―Going forward, we will be replacing the engines with new ones which are equipped with improved, corrosion-resistant turbine blades as a permanent solution. ―As a measure to prevent the occurrence of cracks until this solution is fully implemented, engines which have been removed from aircraft will be fitted with brandnew or minimally used turbine blades of the type that is currently in use.‖ ―We would like to emphasize that this current type of turbine blade does not pose any concerns when in brand-new or minimally used condition.‖ There was some confusion Sept. 1 as to whether the phrase ―replacing the engines with new ones‖ meant swapping out complete engines or was a reference to the introduction of engines fitted with the new design of IPT blade. Rolls acknowledged that 787s used on domestic services will undergo an accelerated program to replace the IPT blades, while others will continue to undergo the proactive maintenance program of replacing blades as required.

The All Nippon Airways plane, en route to Singapore, landed on the Japanese island of Okinawa on Saturday after departing from Tokyo. The plane's 214 passengers were left stranded for nearly 15 hours at Naha airport until a replacement jet was sent, The Aviation Herald reported. The airline recently released a statement which said that investigations were underway on some of their Boeing 787 aircraft after several incidents. "ANA has learned of a possible issue with a component in the RollsRoyce engines on a limited number of Boeing 787 aircraft," it said. "As safety is our top priority, we have decided to take extra steps to ensure the safe operation of our aircraft and as a result, several domestic flights have been cancelled." Two weeks ago, a plane engine burst into flames as it taxied down the runway at Tokyo Airport, the Mail Online reported.

First Nation Airways (FRN, Lagos) has become the second Nigerian carrier in two days to announce its suspension of operations. Nigeria's oldest carrier, Aero Contractors (NG, Lagos), suspended all operations on Thursday, September 1 citing a worsening economy crisis coupled with a lack of available aviation fuel. However, in a statement, the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NgCAA), Captain Muhtar Usman, said this service interruption was caused by operational challenges rather than economic factors. ―First Nation Airlines, on its part, is in the middle of an Engine Replacement Programme for one of its aircrafts [sic]. Another aircraft is due for mandatory maintenance as allowed by the regulatory authority," he said. ―In these circumstances, these airlines clearly cannot continue to undertake schedule operations, hence the inevitable recourse to self regulatory suspension.‖ First Nation Airways operates a pair of A319-100s leased from AerCap on regular shuttle flights between Lagos and Abuja. In 2012, it suspended all operations, again on account of fleet maintenance. Services only resumed with the A319s in October 2013.
