"تاس"" :مصر للطٌران" و"آٌروفلوت" تطلقان الرحالت بٌن موسكو والقاهرة قرٌبا كتب :مؤمن مختار أعلن مصدر مسئول لوكالة األنباء الروسٌة "تاس" ،أن الخطوط الجوٌة فى مصر وروسٌا ستنتهى قرٌبا من جمٌع اإلجراءات الالزمة للتحضٌر إلطالق الرحالت الجوٌة بٌن القاهرة وموسكو. وأوضح المصدر لوكالة األنباء الروسٌة أنه اآلن ٌتم االنتهاء من المسائل التقنٌة الروتٌنٌة الستئناف الرحالت الجوٌة ،والتى تتعلق بإذن موظفى الشركات للعمل فى المطارات، وإجراءات إعادة تشغٌل المكاتب ،فضال عن االتفاقات مع الخدمات األرضٌة فى المٌناء الجوى. وكانت قد أعلنت وكالة األنباء الروسٌة "نوفستى" ،أن شركة الطٌران المصرٌة "مصر للطٌران" أعدت التصارٌح الالزمة لشركة الطٌران الروسٌة "أٌروفلوت" فى مطار القاهرة الستئناف الرحالت الجوٌة مرة أخرى. وأوضحت الوكالة الروسٌة نقال عن مصدر أن روسٌا لم تسلم الجانب المصرى بعد التصارٌح فى المطارات الروسٌة لشركة الخطوط الجوٌة المصرٌة. كان وزٌر النقل الروسى ،مكسٌم سوكولوف ،أعلن سابقا ،أن الرحالت الجوٌة المنتظمة بٌن موسكو والقاهرة ستستأنف فى فبراٌر الحالى. ووقع الرئٌس الروسى فالدٌمٌر بوتٌن فى ٌ 4ناٌر 2018مرسوما بشأن استئناف الرحالت الجوٌة إلى القاهرة ،بعد توقف دام حوالى السنتٌن ،جراء تحطم طائرة ركاب تابعة للخطوط الجوٌة الروسٌة كوجالٌم آفٌا فوق سٌناء فى العام .2015 وتستأنف الرحالت أوال إلى مطار القاهرة الدولى ،ومن ثم تعود تدرٌجٌا إلى مطارات المنتجعات السٌاحٌة مثل شرم الشٌخ ،والغردقة ،على شاطئ البحر األحمر.

عودة 850مصرٌا من العاملٌن فى قطر عبر مطارى الكوٌت وعمان
كتب :محمد طنطاوى استقبل مطار القاهرة الدولى ،خالل ال 24ساعة الماضٌة 5رحالت مصرٌة قادمة من دولة الكوٌت واألردن فى إطار تنفٌذ خطة مصر للطٌران بتسٌٌر رحالت إضافٌة لهذه الدول إلعادة المصرٌٌن العاملٌن فى قطر والراغبٌن فى قضاء إجازاتهم فى مصر. وأفاد مصدر مسئول بمصر للطٌران أن الشركة سٌرت 3رحالت من مطار الكوٌت ورحلتٌن من مطار عمان الدولى ،بنسبة امتالء بلغت .% 98 وتقوم مصر للطٌران بتسٌٌر رحالت إضافٌة إلى دولة الكوٌت ولبنان واالردن إلعادة المصرٌٌن العاملٌن فى دولة قطر بعد قرار السلطات المصرٌة بوقف الرحالت المباشرة من والى الدوحة. الجدٌر بالذكر أن مطارات الكوٌت واالردن هم أقرب نقطة للدوحة وٌقوم المصرٌٌن العاملٌن فى قطر من الراغبٌن فى العودة لقضاء اجازاتهم بالسفر إلى الكوٌت وتنقلهم مصر للطٌران الى القاهرة.

طٌران الهند تطلب عبور األجواء السعودٌة فً رحالتها المتجهة إلى إسرائٌل قالت شركة طٌران الهند (إٌر إندٌا) الٌوم األربعاء إنها تعتزم البدء فً تسٌٌر رحالت مباشرة إلى إسرائٌل وإنها اقترحت المرور عبر األجواء السعودٌة المغلقة حتى اآلن فً وجه الطائرات التجارٌة المتجهة إلى إسرائٌل. وال تعترف السعودٌة بإسرائٌل وسٌكون رفع إغالق المجال الجوي المفروض منذ 70 عاما مؤشرا فٌما ٌبدو إلى انفراج فً العالقات بٌن إسرائٌل والمملكة .والبلدان كالهما حلٌفان للوالٌات المتحدة وٌتشاركان فً القلق إزاء النفوذ اإلٌرانً فً المنطقة. وقال متحدث باسم طٌران الهند وهٌئة مطارات إسرائٌل إن الناقلة المملوكة للدولة طلبت إذنا لثالث رحالت أسبوعٌا بٌن نٌودلهً وتل أبٌب .وقالت هٌئة المطارات إن الرحالت ستبدأ فً أوائل مارس آذار. وقال المتحدث إن طٌران الهند تنتظر موافقة لعبور األجواء السعودٌة فً تلك الرحالت. وقالت وسائل إعالم إسرائٌلٌة فً تقارٌر لم تنسبها إلى مصادر إن الرٌاض منحت بالفعل حقوق عبور المجال الجوي الالزمة لتقلٌص زمن الطٌران من نٌودلهً بأكثر من ساعتٌن. لكن متحدثا باسم الهٌئة العامة للطٌران المدنً فً السعودٌة قال إن الهٌئة لم تمنح أي إذن لطٌران الهند. وأقامت الهند وإسرائٌل عالقات وثٌقة على مدى السنٌن والسٌما فً مشترٌات السالح وإن كانت غٌر ظاهرة فً العلن. لكن العالقات ازدهرت فً ظل حكم رئٌس الوزراء الهندي نارٌندرا مودي ،الذي ٌبدي حزبه القومً إعجابا منذ وقت طوٌل بإسرائٌل لنهجها الصارم إزاء اإلرهاب ،لتشمل الجوانب االقتصادٌة .وفً العام الماضً قام مودي بأول زٌارة على اإلطالق لرئٌس وزراء هندي إلى إسرائٌل. وفً الشهر الماضً زار رئٌس الوزراء اإلسرائٌلً بنٌامٌن نتنٌاهو الهند فً زٌارة هً األولى من نوعها فً 15عاما. و ُتسٌر الناقلة الوطنٌة اإلسرائٌلٌة (العال) أربع رحالت أسبوعٌا إلى مومباي لكنها تستغرق سبع ساعات بدال من خمس ألنها تأخذ مسارا جنوبٌا صوب إثٌوبٌا ثم شرقا تجاه الهند لتفادي المجال الجوي السعودي.

"إٌر فرانس" تلغً العدٌد من رحالتها المقلعة من مطارات بارٌس بسبب تساقط الثلوج أعلنت شركة الخطوط الجوٌة الفرنسٌة (إٌر فرانس) الٌوم /األربعاء /إلغاء العدٌد من رحالتها المقلعة من مطارات بارٌس بسبب تساقط الثلوج. وقالت (إٌر فرانس) -فً بٌان -إنه نظرا لسوء األحوال الجوٌة فسوف ٌكون هناك تأخر كبٌر لبعض الرحالت المقلعة من مطاري العاصمة "شارل دو جول" و "بارٌس- أورلً". وأوضحت الشركة أنها ستقوم بتسٌٌر % 90من رحالتها الطوٌلة و % 60من الرحالت المتوسطة القادمة من مطار شارل دوجول و % 50من رحالتها القصٌرة القادمة من مطار بارٌس-أورلً. وقد اتخذت (إٌر فرانس) إجراءات تسمح للمسافرٌن على خطوطها بتأجٌل الرحالت اذا أمكن لهم وذلك دون دفع أي تكلفة إضافٌة. ٌشار إلى أن الثلوج قد غطت العاصمة الفرنسٌة وضواحٌها -التً تشهد انخفاضا شدٌدا فً درجات الحرارة -ما تسبب فً اضطراب فً حركة القطارات والنقل العام. وحذرت مدٌرٌة شرطة بارٌس السكان من استخدام السٌارات ،وتم وضع 25دائرة تحت درجة اإلنذار البرتقالً خوفا من استمرار تساقط الثلوج .واتخذت إجراءات تمنع سٌر المراكب الثقٌلة (أكثر من 7,5طن) على الطرق الرئٌسٌة.

At the end of January, 23 African nations announced plans to launch a single aviation market in an effort to boost connectivity and economic growth. While airline executives and industry analysts described it as a “seismic event,” African states have not had the best track record implementing integration policies. In an email interview, Richard E. Mshomba, a professor of economics at La Salle University in Philadelphia and the author of “Economic Integration in Africa: The East African Community in Comparative Perspective,” explains what is behind the initiative, as well as the obstacles and opportunities for broader economic integration on the continent.

Ethiopia: Liberalizing African Skies for African Airlines By Girmachew GashawAviation is an engine for economic development; and in the case of Africa, it supports 7 million jobs whilst contributing more than 70 billion to GDP. However, compared to the rest of the world, the numbers are very low. Aviation in Africa is an essential and irreplaceable transport service. This though is well identified by the African government African airlines are shrinking and non African airlines are growing. As it stands today, 82 percent of intercontinental travel is done by non-African airlines. Only 18 percent market portion is shared by African airlines, put together. This should be a concern to African airlines and serious consideration should be given to African airlines, some documents indicated. It is believed that both the aviation industry and governments must work together for the implementation of the Yamoussoukro decision - a major Pan-African multilateral agreement aimed at liberalizing the African air space for African airlines. Enhancing air connectivity can help raise productivity, by encouraging investment and innovation; improve business operations and efficiency. It is indispensable for tourism, where convenient air service facilitates the arrival of larger number of tourists to a region or country. While the air market between Africa and countries outside Africa has been liberalized to a significant extent, most Intra-Africa aviation markets remained largely closed, subject to restrictive bilateral agreements that limit the growth and development of air services. Recognizing that this arrangement was limiting growth and development, many African nations adopted the Yamoussoukro decision in 1999. This agreement committed the 44 signatory

However, the implementation of this agreement has been slow and limited; and thus, the potential benefits of liberalizing Intra-Africa markets remain largely unrealized According to the report, liberalization can lead to increased air service levels and lower fares, which in turn stimulates/facilitates tourism, trade investment and others sectors of the economy and brings about productivity, economic growth and increased employment. Liberalization of international air markets has provided sustainable benefits to the wider economy. African aviation has many challenges that are shaped in different forms. High costs of operations have led them to operate unprofitably, not to have market access, whilst the industry is suffering from lack of inadequate infrastructure. Also, safety, while improving, is still below the standard. Liberalization is critical to address problems related to the aforementioned challenges, said Raphael Kuuchi, IATA Africa Vice President. Liberalizing African airlines means opening African skies to other African carrier. African airlines that want to fly to any African country should be able to do so as often as they want. Through liberalization, as the study shows, it is possible to generate 155 jobs every year, and create another 5,000 additional air travelers. There are so many benefits to liberalization. "That is why we advised African airline to open market rather than restrict." The performance of African airlines is improving compared with its past performance and trend. Travel volume, the number of passengers, number of cargoes are increasing. But it is clear that the beneficiaries are not the African traffic; African aviation are not necessarily African airlines. Therefore, it is important to liberalize the African air space so that many African carriers can be able to carry more traffic and do more business. Today, African economy has continued to expand at a robust pace with an average of 5 percent GDP growth. Air connectivity is critical to maintain the robust growth. Without it, the flow of investment, tourism and trade would not be possible. "Without it, our aspiration for an integrated and prosperous Africa cannot materialize," According to Tewolde Gebremariam, Ethiopian Airlines Chief Executive Officer. No other infrastructure can play the continent-wide integrator role like aviation. Building continental-wide road or rail systems will take a very long time, though we must still do it. Given the size of the African landmass, only aviation can play this continent-wide integrator role at present. "Hence, if we are truly serious about African integration and the availing of reliable, convenient and affordable air connectivity to the African traveling public, there is no other option but to implement the Yamoussoukro decision fully." Ethiopia recognizes the role of air connectivity as a driver of economic growth, integration and job creation. That is why the government is spending a lot of resources to build aviation infrastructure across the country with the construction of new airports and the upgrading of existing ones. The Africa air traffic demand is growing especially as compared to the developed world. Despite the fact that Africa air travel starts from very low base, as there are only 28 million passengers traveling by air within Africa out of a billion population, there is huge untapped potential, he added. So, it about high time that Africa starts to fully explore and exploit its air space for the development and growth of its member countries, Tewolde underscored.

As of 8.03am, at least 50 outgoing and incoming flights at Dubai International Airport were bumped off for up to more than two hours, Dubai Airports’ flight tracker showed. At Abu Dhabi International Airport, more than 30 departing flights were pushed back as well. Use our Flight Tracker to check for affected flights. Flights affected include those bound for Europe, United States, Asia and other countries in the Middle East. Passengers have been advised to check the status of their flight, especially those with departures before 11am. “Severe fog in Dubai on 8th February has caused disruption to numerous Emirates flights arriving and departing at Dubai International Airport. Emirates urges customers to check their flight status," Emirates said in a statement to Gulf News. "Emirates apologises for the inconvenience caused. The safety of our passengers and crew is of utmost importance and will not be compromised.” At least 30 departing flights encountering delays were originally scheduled to leave between 7am and 9:20am. For incoming flights, disruptions affected those arriving as early as 5am.

Trump administration policies, tension with American rivals and regional political upheaval disrupted business at Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad last year. The Gulf carriers have grown rapidly over the past decade by taking advantage of their geographical location to build hubs connecting Asia with Europe and North America. Now they're looking at ways to grow further within Asia after running into some transatlantic headwinds. "Despite the unpleasantries, 2017 set in motion strategic developments likely to unfurl during 2018," research firm CAPA Centre for Aviation said in a recent report. "Asia-Pacific is set to receive more Gulf growth than originally expected," it added. Speaking to CNNMoney at the World Economic Forum in Davos last month, Qatar's finance minister said the national carrier is set to launch 10-15 new routes in 2018. Doha to Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is one of them, part of Qatar Airways "continued expansion in Southeast Asia," the airline said in a recent statement. It launched a direct flight to Chiang Mai, Thailand, in 2017 and added a route to Pattaya in January, becoming the first Middle East carrier to fly to the Thai city. It will also start flying to Malaysia's Penang this month.

In addition to being hit by a U.S. electronics ban and travel ban, the airline lost 18 destinations -- and 50 flights a day -- after Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic and transport links with Qatar in June. "Qatar Airways continues to pursue growth without its key neighboring markets to use as source traffic, while being forced to make significant detours on many routes," CAPA said in its report. "Once they are restored -- as logic suggests they eventually will -- this will provide a boost for the new Qatar," it added. Also looking east is Etihad. It has announced one new route this year, to Baku in Azerbaijan. The airline had a rough 2017 as partner airlines in Europe -- Air Berlin and Alitalia -- ran into deep financial trouble. A new group CEO took charge last month. Analysts say the airline may need a period of reflection before going after new business again aggressively. "With a new leadership in place, Etihad will be focused on assessing and restructuring their stakes and partnerships with other carriers," said Rob Watts, managing director at Aerotask, a global aviation consultancy firm. "This is expected to result in the carrier continuing to reduce its frequencies on various routes." Etihad -- like its UAE rival Emirates -- also had to cut flights to the U.S. last year after demand dropped. Emirates has since seen an uptick and reinstated the U.S. flights. It also added a second direct service to Newark, citing a "steady rebound in customer demand." But the Dubai-based airline is also getting closer to local low-cost partner FlyDubai. Since October, they have announced 81 codeshare flights, and the majority of those destinations are in Asia. "We are expecting to see more cooperation along the lines of codeshare and partnerships among Gulf carriers in 2018, rather than consolidation," said Watts of Aerotask.

According to the National Weather Service in White Lake, 3-6 inches of snow is predicted to fall in metro Detroit in time for the morning commute, and 5-9 inches in southwest Michigan. Flights booked to and from Michigan on Friday, Feb. 9, must be reissued on or before Feb. 12 and with rebooked travel to begin no later than Feb. 12. RMichigan airports affected by the waiver are: Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and Saginaw. According to its web site, "when rescheduled travel occurs beyond February 12, 2018, the change fee will be waived. However, a difference in fare may apply. Final travel must be completed by end of ticket validity, one year from date of original issue."
