MOZAMBIQUE

AN END TO EXPLOITATION The people of the Mozambican village of Mazoe followed a long-held tradition. They would give their daughters in marriage while they were still young girls, often to grown men. As chief, it was Malemba’s duty to ensure that the traditions of his people were preserved — including this one. But one day, a girl who had been given in marriage against her will escaped and ran to the chief. She begged him to help her. She didn’t want to be married. She wanted to go to school. As Malemba looked into the girl’s eyes, he suddenly saw the traditions of his people differently. Malemba had become a Christian after hearing the Gospel from EHC Pioneer Missionaries and he had been studying his Bible closely. His new faith allowed him to see the injustice of the situation for the first time. Chief Malemba called the families together. He told them that the marriage was dissolved and that the young girl should be enrolled in school. He then announced to the entire village of Mazoe that child marriage was a violation of children’s rights. “He informed them that the Word of God teaches people to respect and love one another as Christ loves us,” the EHC team reports. “From that time, life in Mazoe has been different.” Before the Gospel reached this village, young girls’ rights had been trampled for generations. But the revelation of Jesus’ love set their most vulnerable people free.

MALAWI AND ZAMBIA FOOD SECURITY

Once these women only provided maize porridge for their familes but, as EHC organised cooking classes and trained women in basic nutrition, families are now eating 3 nutritious meals a day.

In the Malawi village EHC is currently working in, 265 households (46%) were eating less than 2 food groups and 42 women were showing signs of nutrition-related sicknesses. As a result, nutrition education has been increased and new agricultural technologies have been introduced to improve their livelihoods. Already we are receiving reports that cases of malnutrition have decreased - for the women, their husbands and for their children.

GIVE JOY TO A CHILD THIS CHRISTMAS Each Christmas we give the children in our Primary schools in India and Bangladesh some special new clothes. This is such a treat for the children who receive so little at Christmas. The photos below show the special Christmas programme for the children and parents where the gifts are given and there is much joy! If you can help this year with a special gift, you can be sure that it will bring joy to the life of a child from one of our schools - children from some of the poorest areas of Bangladesh and a low-caste village in India.

She has received a Bible and other books from the Every Home office and she has even shared them with her grandchildren. NIGER Pop. 24,200,000 Map. 36 Unprecedented floods have affected Niamey, the capital of Niger, and other parts of the country along the Niger River. Please pray for the Lord's protection of the people and for their recovery from any damage caused by floodwaters. And pray that many would come to know God through this experience. Titus 2 (John 11:54 to 17:26) ROMANIA Pop. 19,200,000 Map. 78 Believers recently shared more than 1,000 New Testaments and pieces of gospel literature in the eastern cities of Suceava, Bacau and Botosani. Thank the Lord for their willingness to be a witness to the love of Jesus. Please pray that many in these cities would come to know Jesus as a result. Titus 3 (John 18:1 to 20:31)

HONDURAS Pop. 9,900,000 Map. 182 The Every Home team recently worked with a partner ministry called Point of Impact. The brothers from Point of Impact gave food to those in need while the Every Home team shared gospel literature and witnessed to people. EAST TIMOR Pop. 1,300,000 Map. 144 The Every Home team recently created a new piece of gospel literature to share the gospel with the people of East Timor in a new way. CREATIVE ACCESS Please pray for Muslim-background believers in this nation. Pray that they will grow in the likeness of Christ as they study God's Word. Please pray for people to find employment so that they are able to provide for their families. And pray that the people of God will be a strong witness to the peace and provision of the Lord. Hebrews 3 (Acts 8:4 to 11:18) ST. HELENA ISLAND Pop. 6,000 Map. 12 The Every Home team recently partnered with the Salvation Army to conduct outreach through a children's ministry. Thank the Lord for providing this partnership and pray that many will come to salvation through their efforts. Hebrews 4 (Acts 11:19 to 12:25) CREATIVE ACCESS During a recent home-to-home outreach, a friend of someone who participated in the outreach came to faith in Jesus! Praise the Lord for this salvation, and please pray that this new brother will grow spiritually. Pray for everyone else who also heard the gospel through this outreach to put their faith in Jesus. Hebrews 5 (Acts 13 - 14) UNITED KINGDOM Pop. 67,900,000 Map. 92 Please pray for Adam and his team in Mexborough who are distributing Hope Stories magazine. This publication shares God's love and grace with readers. Please pray that the Lord will lead Adam's team to share the good news with those they meet. Hebrews 6 (James 1:1 to 3:12) MYANMAR Pop. 54,400,000 Map. 135 Please pray that the Holy Spirit will guide the Every Home pioneer missionaries as they visit villages and townships to share the good news. Pray for their families while they are gone on these long journeys. And pray that many will come to know the Lord through their outreaches. Hebrews 7 (James 3:13 to 5:20)

GERMANY Pop. 83,800,000 Map. 83 Please pray for Isabel, the newest member of the Every Home team in this nation. She started in August and is responsible for bookkeeping. Also pray for the other vacant position on this team. Pray that God would send the right person to be a leader in their gospel outreaches. Hebrews 9 (Galatians 1 - 2) GUINEA Pop. 13,100,000 Map. 45 Some parts of Guinea are still under a complete lockdown due to COVID-19 but others are now open. Every Home pioneer missionaries are doing outreach wherever they can. Please pray that, even amid these difficulties, the gospel will reach those who are still under lockdown. Hebrews 10 (Galatians 3 - 4)

CAMEROON Pop. 26,500,000 Map. 24 About 40 believers are involved in sharing the gospel in their area. This is a difficult - to -access area in the mountains. Pray that God will bless and protect them, guide them as they go, and use their witness to draw many to the Saviour. Hebrews 11:1-20 (Galatians 5 -6) BRAZIL Pop. 212,600,000 Map. 218 Pastor Belino is from the Rio Negro (Black River) in the Amazon basin. He is preparing food baskets and Bibles to share with the indigenous Ribeirinhos people who live in stilt houses along the waterways. Please pray for Pastor Belino as he visits the Ribeirinhos, and pray that many would meet Jesus as a result. Hebrews 11:21 - 40 (Acts 16)

THAILAND Pop. 69,800,000 Map. 136 The Every Home team in this nation is praising the Lord. The Thai government is now allowing people to meet in groups if they maintain social distancing. The team is already planning outreach trainings in four provinces. Please pray that these trainings will mobilise believers to share the gospel with their neighbours. Hebrews 12 (Philemon 1) CYPRUS Pop. 1,200,000 Map. 113 Please pray for "A" and "F" who have heard the gospel, but are struggling to follow Jesus. Pray that God would perform a miracle in their lives and they will receive Jesus as Lord and experience His salvation and His redemption. Hebrews 13 (Philemon 2) CREATIVE ACCESS Please pray for a Christ Group in the community of "M". This group of new believers who gather for worship, Bible study and discipleship is meeting in a 100% Muslim area. Please pray that God will protect them, that they will be a light in the darkness and that each new believer will grow in their faith. James 1 (Philemon 3)

ERITREA Pop. 3,500,000 Map. 30 Eritrea is a nation where it is incredibly difficult to be an evangelical Christian. Many ministers and church leaders have been imprisoned for their faith - some for more than 15 years. Please pray for the protection of believers in this nation and pray that the gospel of Jesus will change many hearts. James 2 (Philemon 4)

DEM. REP. OF THE CONGO Pop. 89,600,000 Map. 19 Please pray for the Every Home team in this nation who face many obstacles to sharing the gospel in places where many are sick. Please pray for protection and for the Lord to be their strength when they feel tired. James 3 (Acts 17:1 - 10) INDIA Pop. 1,400,000,000 Map. 129 There is controversy about ending the COVID-19 lockdown in India. Some are demanding that the nation be reopened because many families are suffering financially. Please pray for God to guide the authorities to make the wisest decisions and pray for God to provide for families in distress. James 4 (1 Thessalonians 1 -3)

REP. OF MOLDOVA Pop. 4,000,000 Map. 102 The Every Home team is conducting gospel outreaches in the communities of Saharna, Saharna Noua, and Riciusca in central Moldova. Please ask God for protection and that the hearts of those they reach will be open to receive the good news of Jesus. James 5 (1 Thessalonians 4 - 5)

CREATIVE ACCESS The Department of Religious Affairs sent a document to the Every Home team, saying that all religious meetings are prohibited indefinitely. At the same time, theatres and sports grounds are still allowed to operate. Please pray for this discriminatory restriction to be lifted. 1 Peter 1 (2 Thessalonians 1 - 3) UGANDA Pop. 45,700,000 Map. 26 Uganda is experiencing a heated political season, even amid the pandemic. Please pray for God to send both peace and political stability to this nation. And pray for healing and safety as well. Ask the Lord to ensure that nothing will stand in the way of the gospel reaching every home in Uganda. 1 Peter 2 (Acts 17:11 to 18:11) MEXICO Pop. 128,900,000 Map. 178 The Every Home team is making a special effort to share the gospel with families that have lost a parent to COVID-19. Pray that God will provide everything that is needed to share Jesus and disciple those who respond. 1 Peter 3 (1 Corinthians 1 - 4) PAPUA NEW GUINEA Pop. 8,900,000 Map. 146 Please pray for the 26 people who are going through a discipleship programme in Mount Hagen.
