The cloud is a unique IT environment designed to provide all hardware, software infrastructure and other computing resources in remote locations and deliver them over the Internet. The cloud is only about services, not about individual products. The infrastructure is shared among multiple users.
Cloud services can be accessed on demand and can be scaled immediately at any point in time, with unlimited growth. You can easily create servers and resources and discard them when you don't need them. Cloud providers do not have to pay fixed costs, but instead charge on a pay-per-use model.
A cloud model of services provided over the Internet. This means there are no geographical barriers to accessing applications and files. All it takes is an internet connection and compatible devices so that users can connect to their files anytime, anywhere.
Cloud services are mainly divided into public clouds and private clouds. Public cloud is a model that provides IT resources through networks such as the Internet. Anyone, including individuals, businesses, companies, etc., can subscribe and access the services they want.
Private clouds are more specific and dedicated to a single predefined environment. They are again transmitted over the Internet or a dedicated secure network line dedicated to the user.
Cloud services are delivered primarily under three different models that are 1. Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): This covers all basic computing necessities such as storage, networking, servers, load balancers, firewalls, and more.
2. Platform as a Service(PaaS): Support for creating environments for developing and running customer-owned applications.
3. Software as a Service (SaaS): Provide all commonly used applications, such as email services, office automation tools, etc. to individuals and employees in a shared environment.
The cloud environment offers better security, reliability, and affordability in all its functions.
