A new EICHHOLTZ COLLECTION HONORING HANDMADE design
A focus ON TIMELESS CRAFTSMANSHIP
At Eichholtz, our priority has always been design and craftsmanship, building meaningful relationships with our artisans and clients. With this new collection, we honor the core values of our late founder Theo Eichholtz, on which he built this company: to seek out and celebrate the very best craftspeople, to work with beautiful materials, and to showcase the heritage of handmade design. With that in mind, we have defined three pillars for the new collection: a focus on aesthetics and design, a highlight on the artisans we collaborate with, and an exploration of our use of materials. Our dedication to ESG (environment, social, and governance) continues to grow, and this collection features more products crafted in Europe, including ceramic lighting pieces made in Holland, along with sustainably certified materials such as rattan and wood from Indonesia, and recycled fabrics in our upholstery. We continue to set high standards for ourselves and will keep striving for improvement. We hope to inspire you and spark your creativity.

AN APPRECIATION of ARTISTRY
Eichholtz introduces a new collection that celebrates the fine art of handmade design, traditional techniques, and the skilled artisans who craft our products. Key sectors include handcrafted furniture, new pieces with marquetry, hand-blown glass, hand-woven fabrics, and delightful details such as fringing on furniture and wood inlay. There is also a focus on honest materials like rattan, timber, glass, marble, ceramics, metal, wool, and leather.
perfect PATTERNS
There is newness in the collection with the introduction of woven and printed fabrics, as well as appealing textural combinations that work seamlessly in both traditional and contemporary interiors.
A MIX of MATERIALS
Materiality plays a leading role in the new Eichholtz collection. We honor artisanal expertise with rattan weaving, hand-crafted in Indonesia, and emphasize the use of natural timbers, particularly oak for tables and chairs, teak for outdoor furniture, and leather for upholstery accents. Additionally, both bronze and brass are featured in lighting and furniture detailing. Unexpected material combinations offer a renewed sense of enduring elegance.
“THE NEW LIGHTING collection HIGHLIGHTS THE VISION OF OUR DESIGNERS AND THE SKILL OF THE makers TO CREATE SOMETHING TRULY UNIQUE.”
— Edwin van der Gun, Chief Creative Officer

the METROPOLITAN MUSEUM of ART
The highly successful The Met x Eichholtz collection is a collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and brings historic works of art to the home in a new, immersive way as never before seen. Each product has been designed to complement a wide variety of interior aesthetics and is intended to coordinate with other designs offered by Eichholtz. Every piece in The Met x Eichholtz collection has been handcrafted by expert craftspeople using the finest materials and is now available for purchase internationally.
Chief Creative Officer Edwin van der Gun of Eichholtz and his design team were given unparalleled access to explore the galleries and select artworks that now form the inspirational foundation for the collection. Ancient civilizations, including
Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art, as well as Medieval works serve as a direct influence for the sculpture reinterpretations in the collection. The textures, color palette and architectural flourishes – including the instantly recognizable front steps of The Met – are echoed in the silhouettes of the furniture such as sofas, occasional tables, cabinetry, and lighting.
The Met x Eichholtz collection range is an homage to history and culture, retaining the simple, elegant, and luxurious lifestyle aesthetic that remains at the heart of every Eichholtz design. Equally suited to clients building a clean, modern interior, and those pursuing a traditional sensibility, The Met x Eichholtz collection has been designed with versatility in mind, suiting a wide variety of luxury interiors.
