SOUTH LAWN CARPARK FOUNDATIONS Most notable feature in the car park is the dipping concrete slab ceiling line that houses Tree ecological systems placed (in the south lawn) over every column in the car park. Pic Ref: PCSunimelb.edu.au
The slab system is run by an independent strut system that helps reduce the risk of ceiling collapsing, & also to aid water run off & earth settlement.

Union Building Stairs in Suspension The two way stairs are hanging from tensioned systems and anchored with small foundations system and by the independent stair case that is fixed to a wall and in turn fixed to the suspended stairs. Unique 2 fold stair system. That rely on each other in compression to stop movement. Small anchor support foundation works in tension to fix the stair case to ground
Independent stair fixed to the Landing of the suspended stairs acts in Tension to hold the suspended stair from movement while the suspended system acts as the stairs foundation to the landing.

The three independent steel columns act in compression to support the cantilevered roof structure. They each have small footing systems that are a part of the column and slotted into the concrete foundation.
The Pavilion Building This building has a basement foundation made of shored up concrete panel system That in turn acts as a spectator stand that also houses the foundation footing system the cantilevered roof sits on.
Lot 6 is a concrete frame skeleton construction with a brick core in the middle of it.
Internal column that supports the external roof structure. This column is acting in compression & is exposed to be a feature through the glazing system.
The lot 6 building is concrete throughout that has a void open air cafĂŠ with a room in suspension over the back of the area. The concrete columns and slab construction would have primary and secondary beams running throughout and retention rods within the concrete.
The supporting building is housed on a standard foundation system of concrete slab.

The beam that runs through lot 6 is the main support of the suspended floor load and is transferring loads through the brick core in the building & the lot 6 emblem outside it.
