RESIDENCE PLACE - ANNA NAGAR, CHENNAI AREA - 360 sq.m
in 2nd year, we were asked to design a 2bhk house in an area of 360 sq.m to help us understand the effective planning, fulfilling all the necessities in a given small area. having an area of around 350 sq.m, the task was to provide space for parking 2 cars, two separate living space [formal and informal], 2 bedrooms and more open spaces.

2 separate entrance is provided from the parking area to the foyer. and there is a separate service entry at the rear side of the house through utility which leads to the kitchen.
RESIDENCE GROUND FLOOR - 144 sq.m FIRST FLOOR
- 132 sq.m
this is a g+1 residence, with 2 bedrooms, formal and informal living area, two large balconies and has parking space for two cars. since this area has closely arranged residences nearby, the main task was to provide natural ventilation to all the spaces.

BUSINESS CLASS HOTEL PLACE - MOUNT ROAD, CHENNAI AREA - 8385 sq.m
in 3rd year, we were asked to design a 3 star business class hotel fulfilling the given necessities. the zoning is done in such a way that the whole building receives sunlight and also maximum view from the hotel is achieved. the service entrance and exit is at the rear side of the building and is separated from the main entry and exit. lush greenery welcomes the guests.

banquet halls, business centre, guest rooms, leisure space and service area were completely separated from one another to avoid confusion and congestion. each banquet hall has separate waiting area which will avoid making the main lobby crowded. the service area has a service core, admin area and a kitchen. separate service lift is provided to every floor from the main service area.

LUXURY APARTMENT PLACE - KILPAUK, CHENNAI AREA - 30,885 sq.m
in 4th year, we were asked to design an apartment which is luxurious in an area of around 7.5 acres. two types of blocks, quatre [4bhk] and cinq [5bhk] are placed on the sides of the site in such a way that the middle part of the site is for vehicular movement and the central core stretch of the site holds other amenities and used for pedestrian movement.

AREA UNIT - 812 sq.m sincePER this is a luxurious apartment and i believe that luxury means 'the more of everything', i concentrated on providing more private spaces, more balconies/open spaces and bring in more sunlight and ventilation into the apartment.
in quatre block, each unit has two floors having a large balcony on the ground floor. there is a separate service entry and service lift which is accessible from the service core.

the large balcony serves the function of a courtyard and a balcony. all the family spaces [informal living area, kitchen, dining and master bedroom] are placed around the large balcony with large windows to give a feel of residing in a separate villa and not in an apartment. also, it paves way for more natural ventilation and sunlight into the building.

SECOND FLOOR - 916 sq.m
in cinq block, each unit has three floors having two large balconies on the ground and first floor. one balcony is like a courtyard space whereas in the other balcony there is a private pool and an open lounge.

interior of this house is designed to achieve a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for the people using the space. the blend of light shades of neutral colours of the walls, ceiling and floor and dark neutral colours of the furniture makes it look spacious and luxurious. dim strips of lights gives the space a grandeur appearance and a pleasant environment for the people using the space.
