Eyre Peninsula Market Report

LUKE DUNCAN AND DARRYN JOHNSTON RURAL REAL ESTATE AGENTS, EYRE PENINSULA

The Eyre Peninsula has a total land area of over 170,000 square kilometres so summarising the market and land values across the Eyre Peninsula varies significantly depending on which part of the EP we are reporting on.

The Lower Eyre Peninsula is experiencing the highest rainfall reliability and most parts are on track for a very good season with some bumper crops.

As you head further north, country becomes more marginal with below average rainfalls again this season making for some trying times for some farmers.

In almost all areas of the EP, despite the level of uncertainty around the globe, one thing is very certain here…. There is a huge demand and appetite for more land! We have recently released some station country which is drawing interest from not only locals, but also from further afield. This seems to be a trend with broadacre cropping country also attracting interest from other parts of the state such as the Mid North and Yorke Peninsula areas.

Values are once again on the rise and with the high level of demand, we are expecting further growth in property prices this season.
