WOMEN IN THE ARTS annual auction
For many of us, the first artist we know is a woman -- our mothers who drew for us, our kindergarten teacher, or the neighbor who displays her paintings in local exhibits.
The sad reality, however, is that female artists are hugely underrepresented in the art world, with an imbalance of representation and sale prices that exist from major metropolitan showrooms to local galleries and museums.
Our annual Women in the Arts Auction is a small step we can take toward rediscovering 19th and early 20th century female artists the market may be overlooking and providing a new sales channel for established contemporary female artists looking to expand their reach. We hope you join us in supporting this mission.
