WOMEN IN MUSIC TALK For all those interested in a career in music, Our headline acts Mizan, Courtney Barnett and Ekkah will be on hand at 2 pm to host a panel discussing women in the music industry.
Courtney Barnett is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Melbourne, Australia. Known for her witty, rambling lyrics and deadpan singing style
Raised in Ethiopia and relocated to New York, Mizan Kidanu has been playing piano since she was seven. Mizan aims to convey the magnitude of being one of many; the grand idea of never quite realizing how small we all are.
As the pop duo Ekkah, the two girls bring back 80’s feminine nostalgia with dance anthems accompanied best by a disco ball. (pondmag, 2016)
