India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, Jindal Stainless has facilitated the supply of 150 ventilators to the state governments of Haryana and Odisha. This is in continuation to a series of steps taken by the Company to combat and minimize the spread and impact of COVID-19. As states gear up in anticipation of an impending third wave, officials of the company shipped 75 ventilators each, along with accessories for medical use, to both the state owned warehouses today. Commenting on the development, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal said, “We’ve been fighting Corona as extended arms of Indian government from Day 1. With each step we take, we are trying to strengthen the health infrastructure in every way possible. We fought the second wave with an uninterrupted LMO supply to several states from both our units, establishing the operational emergency COVID hospital in Hisar, and successful inoculation drives for our employees and their families. We are now ensuring better preparedness if and before the third wave hits us.” So far, Jindal Stainless has supplied nearly 5400 MT Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) to various hospitals and oxygen filling centres. Through its units in Hisar and Jajpur, the Company is supplying over 50 tonnes of Oxygen per day to 50+ medical facilities in Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and Odisha. Additionally, the Company is supplying LMO to the 500-bed COVID Hospital set up in the premises of OP Jindal Modern School in Hisar. The Company also organised vaccination camps at its various office locations to help employees and their family members get vaccinated. Apart from this, Jindal Stainless announced a policy to extend all-round support to immediate family members of all its employees, who lost their lives to the current pandemic. CM

Parker Plant Ltd. and Apollo Inffratech Group entered into a joint venture to manufacture Parker’s range of mobile and static asphalt plants in India

Parker Plant Ltd of the United Kingdom and Apollo Inffratech Group of India are pleased to announce that they have entered into a joint venture agreement to manufacture Parker’s range of mobile and static asphalt plants in India. Parker Plant Ltd was formed in 1911 and has an extensive product portfolio which incorporates mobile and static asphalt plants from 10-500 tph. The newly formed joint venture is currently building a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility near Mehsana, Gujarat, where Parker’s full range of batch and counterflow drum-mix asphalt plants will be manufactured. In welcoming the joint venture, Brett Dalby, Parker Plant’s Sales Director said, “The trajectory for India’s growth is impressive. We are delighted to join forces and invest in India with Apollo Inffratech Group to meet the exacting needs of such a vibrant market.” Apollo Inffratech Group’s Managing Director, Mitul Patel, commented “Apollo is pleased to add such a strong brand to its group.” The addition of such an extensive range of asphalt plants complements the group’s current activities in the concrete sector, where Apollo has gained tremendous success.
