Hands-On Education Rosemary Petriello
This project is extremely unique in that this is a multidisciplinary, referral only animal hospital which is open 24/7 365 days a year and doubles as a training hospital. With over 150 staff members who attend weekly presentations from manufacturers, and training presentations from guest lecturers on the newest surgical procedures in veterinary medicine, the space needed to have multiple purposes and be very flexible and easy to use. The objective was to create a state-of-the-art conference room and a fully integrated system throughout the facility. Additionally, the Crestron Control system had to be easy for anyone to use with no advanced training. One of the obstacles in executing this project was the fact that the facility had to be fully functional for the duration of the installation.

The most used function of the system is the main conference presentation area system. This is used twice monthly for important seminars and presentations. The music system is another great feature for the clients, their employees, and their clients. It is conducive to a very enjoyable and harmonious work environment. The video system in the lobby supports TV viewing for clients in the waiting room and can handle excess capacity from a presentation or seminar. This is particularly useful when expanded capacity is required.
The objective was to create a state-of-theart conference room and a fully integrated system throughout the facility. Rebecca Day Technology Journalist
Control over the entire system is achieved through a single touch panel in the main office. This is convenient and simplifies an otherwise complex system. The system’s capability is a display of the client’s commitment to run a first class and industry-leading facility. Integration of this system is a clear confirmation of this commitment and the end result was complete success.
