Local Hometown Broker Allen Phillips

legant Island Living recently sat down with Brunswick Financial Advisor Allen Phillips of Phillips Wealth Management to learn more about this hometown broker, the services he provides, and his love for the community he calls home.

EIL: When you say you’re “local,” what does that really mean? AP: My family moved to the area when I was 2 years old. I have lived all over Glynn County. I went to Brunswick Christian Academy as a small child but graduated from Brunswick High School in 1993. I later attended Georgia Southern University and came back to the area following graduation and have been here ever since. EIL: Can you tell us more about your family? AP: I met my wife in college. She has been a special needs teacher in the Glynn County School system for 18 years. Our beautiful daughter is currently enrolled at Frederica Academy. And I guess I should also include our fur baby, a beagle named Sadie that we adopted a few years ago. EIL: What was your background before opening your own firm? AP: I have been in the investment and financial planning field for over 21 years. I have worked at some of the largest names on Wall Street, primarily through the private bank departments of those firms. In 2018, I decided that I’d had 64
