ART SHOW AT BANKER REAL ESTATE Works of renowned artist Brandon Newton will be showcased at Banker Real Estate/Studio during a reception on Thursday, April 20, from 5:00 8:00 p.m. You can meet the artist while gazing at his gorgeous art and partaking in some tasty libations. Brandon is an expressionist best known for his brilliantly colored paintings and his complex treatment of light. His work has been featured on HBO, Fox News, and Fox and Friends, and he has been cited as one of the best, new, up-and-coming artists of today. Brandon will be displaying new art seasonally at Banker Real Estate/Studio. After seeing some of his work, we’re going to bet you’ll be taking a painting home.
CORNHOLE TOURNMENT FOR CASH PRIZES Start training those tossing arms, it’s time for the 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia. Have fun with your friends and compete for your chance to win a $500 cash prize for 1st place, $250 for 2nd place, or $100 for 3rd place. Check in and last minute sign-ups begin at Gnat’s Landing at 11:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 15. Play will begin shortly after. Pre-registration is $80 for each 2-person team including T-shirts

YAPPY HOUR TIME AGAIN Join the Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia on Thursday, April 27, for a Yappy Hour at Palm Coast Coffee Café and Pub on St. Simons Island from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. For a $10 donation at the door you get to enjoy an evening of local appetizers and live music by Golden Island Strummers, all while you hang out with animal lovers in the community. Bring your four-legged best friend (and your twolegged friends, too) to partake in doggie daiquiris while you cool off with a Happy Hour beverage from Palm Coast’s bar or coffee shop. Your donations go directly to help the animals in the temporary care of Humane Society of South Coastal Georgia while they wait on their forever homes.
