Antiques Show to Host Award-Winning Speakers

At the 29th annual Thomasville Antiques Show on February 22-25, attendees will have the chance to learn from four award-winning design authorities with international reputations: Bobby McAlpine, Ashley Woodson Bailey, Eddie Ross, and Beth Webb. The Thomasville Antiques Show Foundation (TASF) raises funds annually for non-profit organizations focused on children’s programs in Thomasville, Thomas County and the surrounding areas.

Designer, architect, author, and entrepreneur Bobby McAlpine envisions home as a timeless, graceful and emotionally evocative place. Since 1983, when he founded his firm, he has expressed these ideals in an array of traditional styles and regional vernaculars for clients all over the world. Today, known simply as McALPINE, the firm embraces a family of architects and interior designers with offices in Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and New York. They have been listed on Architectural Digest’s AD100 and Elle Décor’s A-List. Bobby’s popular furniture line, McAlpine Home, is available nationwide.

After a harrowing car accident left this highprofile florist bedridden, Ashley Woodson Bailey channeled her love of flowers into a healing new venture. A self-taught photographer, Ashley’s signature florography art prints launched in 2014, and her brand naturally expanded to include wallpaper, fabrics and limited-edition products. Woodson’s work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Luxe, Domino, Atlanta magazine, Cobb Life, and Savannah Magazine. Recognized by design aficionados for his inventive approach to high-style decorating and entertaining on a budget, Eddie Ross is known for re-imagining the aesthetic possibilities in secondhand finds and imbuing them with a chic and colorful sophistication. Ross has worked as a design, decorating and food editor for House Beautiful, Martha Stewart Living and the Food Network. A trained chef from the Culinary Institute of America, Ross has styled parties featured in House Beautiful, Southern Living and InStyle. His design work has been published in Vanity Fair, Country Living and The New York Times. He has also appeared in Bravo’s interior design competition series “Top Design.” Ross lectures widely on the living arts, from food and flowers to decorating, gardening, and entertaining.

Through her sensory-driven design approach, Beth Webb creates what she calls style sanctuaries – natural compositions designed to provide lasting and transformative physical beauty. With a Master’s degree from Sotheby’s in London, Webb began her career as an art dealer. Today, as founder and Creative Director of Atlanta-based Beth Webb Interiors, she has completed projects throughout the Southeast, as well as in California, Connecticut, Michigan, the Bahamas and Costa Rica. Webb’s work is often featured in Elle Décor, Veranda, House Beautiful, s and Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles and has been included in books such as Veranda, The Art of Outdoor Living, and Creating Home: Design for Living.
