5 YEARS OF GOING GOLD

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and, for the 5th (and final) year, Gnat’s Landing will go gold in support of that cause. Why? Because every day in the U.S., an average of 43 children under 20 are diagnosed with cancer. Because a quarter of them will not survive the disease. Because despite the fact that cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in this country, it only receives 4% of federal government cancer research funding. Because children and families in our community are affected. You can help by coming out to Gnat’s Landing Friday, September 20 to participate in the annual Redfern Goes Gold event. Grab a bite or a drink, listen to some music, help Team Alexa Fighting Back benefiting CURE Childhood Cancer raise funds by bidding on some fantastic raffle items. Follow the Redfern Goes Gold event on Facebook for updates.
