NAIYAH MONAE FAN BLOG

NAIYAH MONAE FAN BLOG The most awkward thing about us ladies is that we tend to forget ourself within these men that we date. We forget that it's okay to Request things we want in our relationship from these men . We forget that they have to respect our minds before they receive our hearts. What I mean by that is simple feeling the guy out first, getting to know him and what he is really all about before we let him have the key to our hearts. He shouldn't have to just work for your physical candy but he should also have to work for your mentally needs and spiritual understanding. He should also be able to respect those goals and want to take things according to your pace. We should always be ready for a guy's relationship ride because he is the driver and we tend to land in being the race track course we just need to show him the way to go and how we need to be handle with major understanding & respect and patience . A relationship with you shouldn't be easy access it should be Like Rome which wasn't build in a day. It should be time spent on getting to know you for you & not you for your candy . Ladies Learn to be happy and loving with yourself that way you won't need to find happiness and love from a man.

E.M.N NETWORKS MAGAZINE COVER STORY

KRAZY DRAYZ

OF DAS EFX

INTERVIEW BY: HOWARD SMITH

EMNM: When and why did you start your career? KRAZY DRAYZ: I started my career technically in 1992 after being discovered by another rap group named EPMD. Why I started rhyming is simply because I had no choice, music is in me. EMNM: Who was your inspiration from your past? KRAZY DRAZY: I have a lot of musical inspirations but the rapper that left a mark on my brain is Big Daddy Kane. I think he's the best to ever do it. 3.The 1st hip hop song I ever learned was Planet Rock, all 10 versions...lolol WWW.ELEMENTSMEDIANETWORKS.COM| 08

EMNM: What was the first tune(s) you learned? KRAZY DRAYZ: The 1st hip hop song I ever learned was Planet Rock, all 10 versions...lolol EMNM: Is your family musical? KRAZY DRAYZ: My father is also musical. We're Jamaicans so he is heavy on the reggae tip. He came up with a lot of guys in the music scene in Jamaica. As soon as I do a song, sometimes as soon as I've written the 1st verse with the hook I'll shoot it to him to get his opinion on what I'm saying. He's a O.G so I value his words plus he's been supporting my dreams from day 1 before I even knew I could do this. EMNM: Describe your first ever live performance? KRAZY DRAYZ: My 1st ever live performance was a lip sync talent show in high school. Me and my boy Ike did Cameo's "Word Up and Candy" with the red cup and all. Dam I had some big balls for a kid. The chicks loved it and the fellas respected our gangster. We had our little muscles showing..lolol. Somewhere someone has a video or pic of that.

EMNM: Which famous musicians do you admire? Why? KRAZY DRAYZ: I admire all musicians for their grind to make it. We've all travelled a similar road of "No's, maybe's, yeses, high's low's, studio, tour etc." But the ones I really admire are the one's who've been able to adapt but remain themselves. I admire musicians like Common, L.L, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, Tyrese who flipped it and started acting and producing. I love it, because it gives me a blueprint on some things I can do when I get in a position like they did. EMNM: Which famous musicians have you learned from? KRAZY DRAYZ: I would have to say the ones like I mentioned in my last answer. I'm like a sponge where I watch and soaked up the info, process it and apply it now or later. The musicians I learn from are the ones who make moves.

EMNM: If you could have signed with anyone other than your previous label which one would that have been? KRAZY DRAYZ: I would loved to been on Def Jam, they seemed to go hard and had a certain swagger. Now with the music I'm making with my new super producer Hellz Yea from Brooklyn, I want a deal with Dr. Dre. So I'm putting it out into the universe. EMNM: Describe your first demos Before your major album debut ? KRAZY DRAYZ: My 1st demos with DAS EFX were not that bad. We were perfecting our style which we'd been working on since Hip Hop hit us. When Skoob and I met we were good mc's already so we just had to figure out the group thing. EMNM: What are your fondest musical memories? In your house? In your neighborhood or town? KRAZY DRAYZ: My fondest musical memories of my musical career is when I bought my 1st house and the kids in the neighborhood would drive by all day and night looking to see if I was home. My house was like a land mark sight seeing spot. Like they have tour buses that take people around in Hollywood to see the stars homes, they would have done that with my house in Long Island.

EMNM: Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones? KRAZY DRAYZ: I was influenced by the cover of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5. The cover just stuck in my mind of them posing with the boom box and the hood behind them. EMNM: Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD's? KRAZY DRAYZ: My favorite musicians and groups are too many to name but I like the Lox, Black Keys, Sia, Karmin, Brand Nubian, and Big Daddy Kane. EMNM: Have you released any new music recently or has it been all touring? KRAZY DRAYZ: Yes since 2012 I've been releasing solo music starting with Showtime (available on iTunes) then my *Faith Mix Tape. Then I followed up with Showtime Encore (Free) and *Faith Pt.2 Mix Tape in 2014. Since 2015 I've been dropping free songs on the net to create a buzz. I really want a deal with Dr. Dre.

EMNM: Do you perform in public? Describe those occasions? Concerts, radio, TV? KRAZY DRAYZ: Anyone who's ever seen or been to a DAS EFX or my solo show know that it's a party. I like too look the fans in the eyes touch their hands, smoke with them drink with them and chill or get wild. It's like we're there together to listen to music and see a great performer it just so happens that the music is mine and the performer is me. EMNM: Do you prefer small venues or the bigger venues when on the road? KRAZY DRAYZ: I don't mind big or small just as long as you came to party. EMNM: How do you handle the ever so changing music industry? KRAZY DRAYZ: I've learned with the changing music industry that you have the choice to adapt, or not and make your own change which is what I'm doing, making my own lane again. EMNM: Do you still. get nervous before a performance? KRAZY DRAYZ: Never for DAS shows but I got a lil when I did my 1st solo show only because of technical things like breathe control and stuff like that but not anymore. EMNM: What advice would you give to up and coming new artist? KRAZY DRAYZ: The best advice I can give to up and coming artists is to never quit even when people are telling you to.

EMNM: Do you attend sessions? What makes a good session? KRAZY DRAYZ: I don't get to see a lot of sessions but to me what makes a great session is the vibes between the musicians and the fans. EMNM: How often do you tour these days? KRAZY DRAYZ: With DAS we do a lot of one off's and cluster shows, 2 here 4 there. I'm ready to tour with my solo music thou. I'm down to open for someone like Slaughter House or any of the members. EMNM: What does the future hold for your music? KRAZY DRAYZ: I know it's going to be more change. EMNM: Any regrets about your career and what would you do different? KRAZY DRAYZ: Yes I have a few regrets but none that I want to get into, only thing I would say about them is they now motivate me. Listen to your gut kids. EMNM: How do you balance your music with other obligations - family and recording? KRAZY DRAYZ: I balance it pretty well because my whole family supports me. From my lady who is my biggest fan along with my pops. I do wish I could see my pops more because we live in different states but speak or text regularly. I plan on getting even better at it.
