I laid out the fabric on the 1x1m canvas. The darker parts became valleys, the lighter became peaks. Then I used a red thread to attach the fabric. It symbolised small human interventions into the landscape, which help sustain it. So wild became something one cannot control or restrain but can cultivate and nurture.
