Ilgeko (Elena Rossi) was born in Rimini, Italy, on 8 September 1969. She has an 20-year old daughter, Laura and has worked in 18 different jobs. In 2003 she starts experimenting with blogs and photography. As a self-taught woman she uses images as if they were brushes. Year after year she develops a very personal technique, transforming photos, always self-portraits, into emotional messages. Therefore, no longer a photo but a message. An emotion, a meaning, an interpretation, sometimes a cry. Elena, starts from an idea and manipulates the photographs until that idea is in the image. Often she uses the same image to represent different ideas, sometimes opposite. Because, as Elena believes, inside every human being, in every part of us, there is a whole world, “Feeling Like a Puzzle” is the deep meaning of all her production.
