The name of the project comes from the antialiasing effect. The approach of this work, aims to adjust enterprise’s position and their production intensity in order to create a gradual transition between the industrial area and the city background. BRUXELLES. 2 0 4 0 Nowadays, the urban renovation politics provides the integration of industrial areas. This aspect is fundamental for development of the city’s economy, commerce and residential areas.
Z E M U Zone d’entreprises au milieu urbain The map illustrates a mixed urban context. Here, the red areas identify sectors that will host a mix of functions, like the industry, the commerce and dwellings.

I N D U S T R Y A L I A S I N G This project concerns a modern phalanstery: a continuous building where the industry lives and dialogues with the people’s daily life, superposing different activities. The program proposes to make these functions cooperate in a correct dynamic. In the north area, enterprises are located at the ground floor.
In the central area, commerce surrounds the main square. In the south, another square is designed, characterizing the cultural center. The public area makes the building accessible in every level, weather it’s made through the squares, by the gallery, or the rooftop’s green pathway.
CULTURAL INTEGRATION CENTER: Language School Trade School Cooking School Library Exhibition Area
DWELLINGS : The four residential types follow the structural grid. The interiors are designed to create different private spaces that can enrich the domestic life. These spaces take maximum advantage of the natural light, by playing with double height and outdoor balconies
The OVERCITY : The rooftop is characterized by a green public space. The multifunctional “boxes” give life to the overcity, hosting services, like startups and student’s working spaces. give life to the overcity. The first floar is dedicated to student’s residences and collective spaces.

Let the Orneau river breath again., Gembloux! Twenty years ago the population had lost the link to the river, that used to characterized the city center and its main square. Today, the Orneu is revealed again, and the life connected to its course is brought back. The citizens now take part of the natural system, from the river’s birth until its bed, at 3m deep.

L O C A T I O N Lille Metropolis, in the french Nord district, includes 42 districts, in which the most popular are; Fives, Caulier, Tourcoing, Roubaix et Villeneuve d’Ascq. 1930.HOUSES This particular house typology was developed in the north of France between the 19th and 20th century. It is estimated that 75% of housing in Lille uses this typology. However, nowadays 8% of the use of this typology has been abandoned, due to the energetic sustainability high cost. The standard house is composed by 3 floors, with one front facing a private garden and the other facing the public street. P R O J E C T The main goal is to bring back to life these urban closing gaps. Nowadays an entire row house is no more sustainable for a singe family, its dimensions and its energy consuption are out of range. M I X E D . U S E The main goal is to bring back to life these urban closing gaps. In fact, nowadays, an entire row house isn’t sustainable for a single family anymore, due to the dimensions and energetic consumption being out of range. R E N N O VAT I O N The energetic consumption is the first problem solved. Using a solar passive system, such a solarium on the garden side, and a warm air system insufflated from the ancient chimneys , the house gains the energetic standards required.

BY REPRESENTING THE ARCHETYPES OF THE TRADITIONAL HOUSE living room, kitchen, garden, and foyer, we will place them around the town.
Not as rooms but as walls... as frames.
YOU WILL RECOGNISE DOMESTIC SPACES IN LOAD-BEARING WALLS, SPREAD IN THE CITY,
These walls bear human memories and dreams.
Each wall has its own attitude. Each frame represents an archetype, able to incubate and to hold differents activities: living, connecting, producing, disclosing, informing, playing.
The project starts with a pre-designed metal frame. Each frame hosts a function and a program decided by participants and tutors. After studying the city of Frederecia, participants analyzed necessities and possibilities for the city and its population. In two weeks, tutors and participants, have created these frames, that gather functions in order to optimize the potential of each spot.
F R A M E S Participants conceived projects in groups of three, in collaboration with the two tutors. Each frame holds different activities, inspired by a house archetype
