The new Spro lures for 2012 in Europe Responding to what fishermen want tomorrow is central to the development of new lures, and we have the specialists to help us. Our international focus in the development of new lures is to develop products for the angling market of tomorrow. We have a tremendous urge to create new and innovative models and designs that fully reflect the current trends, or, better yet, set new boundaries! We want to be market leader. We develop new products for particular species or for unique fishing techniques to a specific market. If this means that a product does not sell in another market, then so be it. At Spro we do not compromise on specifications for the sake of selling bigger volumes, we leave that to others. In recent years, we have brought to market a wide range of successful hard bait and soft plastics, think about of the PikeFighter, Screamin’Devil, the BBZ and Aruku Shad lures but also special baits such as the DullShad and Asp Jig’n’Spinner. All trendsetters in a specific segment and a specific market. Working closely together with a variety of internationally successful predator anglers, time and time again we succeed to design new and innovative shapes and colors. We do this with the primary aim to have angler around the globe catch more and bigger fish, more often. There are many things we can say about our lures but the one and most important thing is that they really catch fish! This sounds so logical but unfortunately in practise it is not. The Spro consultants are keen to assure our lures do not only have all the perfect qualitative properties (read: they swim and look good), if they don’t catch fish or less than with other similar lures it will not feature in our range. For the upcoming season, we commissioned a number of great new things in the line-up. Think for instance of the new Nippon or Ikiru series of plus. Or expansions in the PowerCatcher and PowerCatcher Plus range. Or how about new colors in the PikeFighter, the Screamin’Devil and the Rapper range. Or the new Baby Devil with uniquely new colors. ASP Jiggin’ Spinner

Ideal weighted Jiggin’ Spinners that have proven to be serious fish producing lures. The wide range of colors gives the angler enough choice. This spinner has everything a good Asp spinner needs, such as: An aerodynamic shape for exact casting and excellent weight to size ratio. Its lean form gives it minimum pressure in the water, The lure swims straight even in the strongest current.

The small size makes it easy to attack for Asp, therefore losses will be reduced to a minimum. The blade adds an extra attraction (both reflection and noise) to tempt Asp to strike. This lure has also proven to be very attractive for Perch and Zander.

Just like its bigger brothers the tail and fins are made of durable soft-plastic, that add that little extra bit of vivid action… but the BBZ has been designed that it can even swim perfectly without.

Floater - The floating 4” BBZ Shad can be fished with a wide variety of fishing styles: from slow retrieving to super fast retrieving and anything in between. With fast retrieving, the shad causes a lot of disturbance on the surface… predator fish are triggered to attack it aggressively. A spectacular way of fishing in shallow water! Slow Sink - The slow sinking 4” shad sinks with about 30cm per 4 seconds to the bottom. Carefully balanced so that the shad reacts very natural. Special recommendation from Bill Siemantel: “Let the BBZ-1 sink to the bottom with a slack line. Let the wind catch the line, so that the lure will swim itself. Once the BBZ-1 rests on the bottom, it stands on the treble. Fish it back from there with small twitches, or repeat this ‘trick’ with the wind and slack line. A real killer! Fast Sink - Whoever thinks that the Fast Sink can only be used in deep water is wrong. With an estimated sinking speed of around 30cm per second, this Swimbait can also be used perfectly for fast retrieving in shallow water. Because of the life-like action it resembles a spooked baitfish, which makes it irresistible for predator fish!
