FontanaArte eighty year history Back from the past are the modern-looking, surprising pieces by Pietro Chiesa and Max Ingrand, their irony and elegance way ahead of their time. Together with the 2012 Collection by FontanaArte, they are on show at the Light+Building in Frankfurt and in the historic Casa degli Atellani, where Gio Ponti, Pietro Chiesa, Piero Portaluppi, and Italy’s most elegant and creative designers of that period used to meet, and in which vineyard in the centre of Milan Leonardo da Vinci would stroll when he would take a break from working on the Last Supper, across the street. FontanaArte reworks the all-Italian idea of its creator Gio Ponti, bringing together top designers and the most sophisticated artisan skills in an industrial context.
