Take pretty photos and share them...

If you’re feeling accomplished and like the result go ahead and take pictures of your drawings with a good light source, I like to take my photos with natural light, some people also scan their drawings but I don’t have a scanner and I prefer pictures where you can see the materials that were used.

Try with different angles, make sure the drawing is the focal point and don’t be afraid of taking it outside, I really like photos with green life as the background, or clouds, so create an environment around it if you feel like it. Most people will upload just scans of their work, and that’s ok, or if you’re a digital artist then there’s not much you can do I guess, but watch some product photography tutorials and that could help with composition and light.

Share your creations, you may not always love the result, and that’s probably because you’ve been staring at the same piece of paper for the last couple hours and you know what steps you took and the result you expected, and it may not look like you envisioned it, but other people do not see that. It’s hard to share something we know we could have done a better job at, but in the end, it’s part of your process and not everything has to be perfect!
