eligious people are afraid to go to hell but

spiritual people have already been there. Each one of us at one time or another have lost a loved one through death and the question that always comes is where do our loved go? Is there life after death? Will we be able to see our departed loved ones again? There a saying I love that people today are not dying from HIV/AIDS but they are dying from a special HIV: H

You canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t get out of life alive! Death is a topic many people run away from because of unknown fears and just falling to have closure for the loss of loved ones. This topic touches more lives than any other topic,from the time we are very young and we see someone die around us that because very painful and we begin to ask what really happens after death.

The pain of a brother that died brings so much pain and I want to share that there is hope after death. The bible tells us that my people perish because of lack of knowledge. When you don’t have Christ Jesus as your Lord and saviour you are living but spiritually dead and the wages of sin is death. But those who die in Christ the bible says “for me to live is Christ and to die is gain why, “Because there is hope for those who live in Christ. As a child of God you need not to fear death though as human beings we usually have the following fears: Fear of a loud sound Fear of falling Fear of success Fear of failure Fear of Death Some people have fear of being comfortable and all they do is complain about everything. There is hope in Christ Jesus and you may have this question today:

he death of our loved ones brings so much

pain, the death of your daughter, the death of you son, the death of your father, the death of your mother or cousin. You may have lost a child as a

stillborn and you have question in your mind what happened to my child. •

Will we be able to see our beloved departed again? From the time we are young we always ask this question and pains grips our mind.

You have hope when you die?

Can we find hope that goes beyond the grave? Some people think death is a sleep awaiting resurrection when Jesus Comes. Others say our dead loved one’s are already in hell or heaven.

Can we find hope that goes beyond the grave? Most People have this idea that when you die you go to heaven or hell. Other say when you die you go into a deep sleep awaiting the resurrection when Jesus come or already in heaven. Have you ever heard a pastor say at the Grave yard “Helen looks down on us today from heaven”? An get a bit confused as to what the preacher is talking about when he then says when Jesus comes our loved one will be resurrected. Others believe that when one dies they go into an intermediary called Purgatory where you burn until

you are purified to become good people and then go to heaven. If we can find a person who died and rose again we can find answers to what really happens after death. Some people believe in Reincarnation in that you live your life from birth and when one dies if they were not a good people, you come back in a lower form of like may be an animal or a butterfly.

Where can we find reliable information about death?

What does the word of God say about death? Let me take you through this journey of discovery because Christian never say goodbye to their dead loved one and there is hope in Christ Jesus.

This is what Jesus says about death:

â&#x20AC;&#x153;I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.â&#x20AC;?

Revelation 1:18 The grave could not hold him ,you will see your loved ones again.

At the coming of Jesus we shall see our loved ones once again.

â&#x20AC;&#x153;For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.â&#x20AC;? 1 Thessalonians 4:16

That son that died will live again That mother that died will live again That brother that died will live again They will rise first from the dead at the second coming of Jesus.

â&#x20AC;&#x153;After that, we who are alive and left shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord Foreverâ&#x20AC;? 1 Thessalonians 4:17

What happens to the Body Soul Soul and Spirit?

hen we look at creation we see that it is

God who gives life:

â&#x20AC;&#x153;And the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living soul.â&#x20AC;? Genesis 2:7 Creation Formula:

Dust + Breath = Living Soul Or

Elements of the earth + Breath of life = Living Being

Dust + Breath = Living Soul Elements of the earth + Breath of life = Living Being

â&#x20AC;˘ Genesis 2:7 â&#x20AC;˘ and the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living soul.

A living soul means a living person. Death is creation in reverse itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s like when a light bulb is switched off, Power Goes to the power source in the same way when one dies the Spirit goes back to God.

What happens to the Body Soul and Spirit? Is the Soul immortal? When God created man he placed breath within him not an immortal soul.

â&#x20AC;&#x153;And the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7 When a person dies the body goes back to dust and the spirit goes back to God who gave it. This is where people make a mistake because they think the Soul and the Spirit is the same thing.

What returns to God is not the Soul but the Spirit or breath.When a person dies they rest or sleep. The Old Testament Hebrew word for Spirit is RUAUCH which means breath. The Spirit and the Soul in the bible are different.

“The body without the spirit or breath is dead.” James 2:26

Death is a Sleep; Bible teaches that death is a sleep until Jesus comes. Over 50 times in the bible death is referred to as a sleep. When a person dies they rest, they sleep there is no passage if time, the spirit or breath of life goes back to God. The bible teaches that the breath and the spirit are the same thing.

“As long as I have life within me, the breath of God in my nostrils.” Job 27:3 A practical example of death is a light bulb, when you turn on the power there is that elimination that comes on and when you switch off power darkness come through. All it means is that for us to have the light electricity goes through the bulb from the power source. The electricity

represents the Spirit of God and when a person dies the light which represents life goes off. When electricity if turned off it returns to the power house in the same way when a person dies the Spirit of God goes back to God. Since the power to create life is with God ,his Spirit which gave life returns to him and a person no longer exist as a conscience mortal soul, there is no such thing as an immortal soul only God is immortal. The bible uses the word “soul” 1600 times and never once does it use the word immortal soul. Only God is immortal which means imperishable while Mortal means subject to death.

“Can a mortal be righteous than God?” Job 4:17

“We seek for immortality” Romans 2:7

“Behold Me tell you a mystery: we shall not all sleep, but we shall be changed” 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 We receive immortality at the second coming of Jesus Christ and there will be: -

No more pain

No more sickness

No more stress

No more anger

No more death

No more fear

JESUS is the resurrection and the life.

“He alone has immortality”

1 Timothy 6:15-16

Another name for “Soul” in the bible is “Person” or “Life”. A soul means person or living being and a soul is something that am ( a living being)

“A soul that sins shall die” Ezekiel 18:4 Pagan Greek philosophy taught that the soul is immortal through Greek Dualism. Man is mortal according to William E Gladstone “The pagan doctrine of the human immortality of the soul crept into the church”. Many wrong things have come into the church the idea of worshiping images such as the picture of Mary the mother of Jesus. People have accepted certain doctrines of man to unit with the pagans, the idea of sprinkling babies not found in the bible. Ancestral worship is based on the false doctrine of the immortal soul. In the bible worship is never given to anybody except God, in the book of Revelation 19:9-10 ,John fell on his feet to worship the Angel but the angel said to him,” do not do it” I am a fellow servant with you ,worship God. This also proves that the worship of angels is a false doctrine.

How do you honour your ancestors?

he bible says, honour your father and

mother. You honour your ancestors: -

By living a Godly life.

Accepting Jesus as Lord and saviour.

When you commit your life to Jesus ,you honour your ancestors because at the coming of Jesus you will see them again. OUR MORTAL BODY SHALL BE CHANGED

The resurrection of Lazarus proves death is a sleep.

“For in death there is no remembrance of you. In the grave who will give you thanks” This talks about praising God Psalm 6:5

“Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help. His spirit departs, he returns to the earth. In the very day his plans (thoughts) perish.”

Psalm 146:3-4

“for the living know that they will die; but the dead no nothing. “And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6

“the dead do not praise the Lord , Nor any who goes down into silence.” Psalm 115:17

When we die the power of God the spirit goes back to God and our body back to dust.

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.” Colossian 3:3-4

He has spoken and taught at leadership training and Book Writing programs In South Africa, Zambia and has mentees in his Mentorship program on Book Writing.
