Designed to house the work of pioneer photographer Edward Muybridge, this museuem speaks to the expression of motion through the static arts. Forms were generated over several weeks through a series of iterative study models, culminating in a "structural tour-de-force" of curved glulam members that frames a series of transformations through space and time.

The unique L-shaped site in SOHO, provided a unique challenge for the design of this Boys and Girls Club. Joining an infill on Thompson Street, and a large lot on the corner of Sullivan and Spring; the site required a programattic intervention that could unite it as one whole.

BRANCH BROOK PARK

The proposal for this 165-unit multi-family housing development in the burgeoning Broad Sreet District of Newark, NJ seeks to revitalize the once downtrodden neighborhood, with an injection of bright color and vitality. A recondisderation of the specific case of the linear double-loaded corridor residential slab gives birth to the more general "spline-slab", a new housing prototype for the 21st Century, capable of traversing wide swaths of vacant or underutilized urban terrain. 280

The structural design for the Leviathon relied on a series of staggered trusses running across the body of the slab. These coordinated with a stacked duplex apartment typology, arranged variously to form 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units depending on the spline curvature.
