Q & A with John Gunter Standing out in a marketplace requires creativity and innovation. Canada therefore built a collection of unique travel experiences. John Gunter, general manager, Frontiers North Adventures, one of the tourism businesses invited to deliver these engaging experiences, talks about the flourishing Canadian tourism industry. Travel Trade Weekly: How did the tourism board’s work help to develop the industry and create a stronger brand image for the country? John Gunter: The Canadian tourism Commission (CtC) has worked hard to have Canada's tourism brand recognised as the top in the world. in 2010, Futurebrand ranked Canada's brand as the top country brand in the world. CtC has also created the signature experience Collection (se) and Frontiers north's tundra buggy adventure was selected as one of the very few Canadian signature experiences.
John Gunter: by identifying Canada's signature experiences and CtC sending these experiences to the frontline of our tourism communications, we are leading with what differentiates our country from all the rest and i think that helps guests realise what exactly we are up to in Canada. we have a very large country, and the CtC’s signature experience Collection helps guests get beyond the major centres with international airports.

Travel Trade Weekly: What makes Frontiers North’s Signature Experience stand out? we work to host guests from every region John Gunter: nowhere else on earth do in the world, and i can share with you that guests have the opportunity to experience volumes of polar bears in a safe and intimate natural setting. Frontiers north is a professional tourism business, so locking your gaze with a wild polar bear is an important part of a much more indepth tourism experience. we are very proud that our organisation manages the quality of our guests' experience from the type of airplane used to travel to our remote destinations, highway coaches used for transfers, friendly and courteous staff at our hotel properties, uniquely Canadian cuisine and, of course, expert guiding we provide all of our valued guests.
we do host guests from countries from the Middle east and north africa regardless of our marketing efforts. i think if guests are looking for the best polar bear tourism experience in the world, they come to us. That being said, Frontiers north relies on
