Design Narrative Mani is a hand crafted crochet apparel brand aimed towards young women ranging from 18 to 26 years old. In Italian, Mani translates to hands. As each piece is handmade, the brand encourages small businesses and the trend of slow fashion. The challenge was to create an identity that encompasses a handmade bohemian style. The solution includes a simplistic logo that utilizes a rounded san serif font with a crochet hook as the i.

SCIENSE Brand Identity / Package Design
Design Narrative Sciense is a unique, organic incense brand that provides health benefits in sustainable packaging. The target audience includes young adults ranging from 16 to 28 who are environmentally conscious and interested in holistic practices. The challenge was to create an identity that incorporates both the scientific properties, as well as the organic nature. The product contains five tubes each filled with a different incense that has been infused with a particular gemstone. The incorporation of geometric shapes and san serif fonts create a clean and simplistic look.

Design Narrative Herban Eats provides a friendly, fast paced atmosphere with healthy and affordable food options. The eatery features a greenhouse where all the greens are homegrown. The target audience includes young adults with a tight budget and busy schedule. The design challenge was to create a brand that represents both an earthy and fastpaced atmosphere. The solution is a vectorized logo that utilizes circular, organic shapes. The app modernizes the brand by providing the option to order ahead, save favorites, and earn rewards.

PYRAMID POWER Infographic / Interactive Installation
Design Narrative The Giza Pyramid Complex on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt is comprised of the three Great Pyramids. Listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, it’s construction remains a mystery. With a lack of technology, many believe the Eqyptians could not have built the pyramids alone. The goal was to display the information regarding the pyramid’s precision. The target audience ranges from 18 to 32 years and includes those who have an interest in history and the unknown. The infographic was resolved by displaying the information in three sections; astronomical evidence, geological evidence, and mathematical evidence. The color palette includes dusty sand tones and grays to portray the desert atmosphere and outer space. An interactive exhibit would be featured in a history museum to allow the viewer to interact with the information.

The exhibit would include an interactive table that displays holograms of the Giza Comlex, and its relation to astronomy, geology, and mathematics. Project Title

Design Narrative Hucci, also known as Ollie O’Neill, is a Brighton-based trap producer. He is an up and coming artist with an alternative - electronic sound. The design challenge was to create artwork that reflects his melodic beats and airy flow. The solution is a album cover and tour poster that utilize abstract line and illustrate the highs and lows of sound. The color palette includes white, black, gold and pink, which were pulled from his logo and past artwork.

Advertisement Campaign
Design Narrative Barilla is an Italian, family owned company that produces pasta, sauces, and other food products. It has been around for over 100 years and continues to hold its authenticity. The target audience includes middle-class women ranging from 25 to 55 years. These women generally have children and frequently cook for their families. The goal of the campaign is to encourage buyers to purchase the Barilla pasta brand. The design challenge was focusing on the Italian aspect of the brand and its long standing history. The solution was incorporating the act of throwing spaghetti on the wall, a trick that has been around for many years. The campaign includes a series of three images that feature a kitchen from a different time period. A spaghetti strand in the shape of the Italian boot is stuck on the wall to emphasize “sticking to the Italian original.� The campaign also includes direct mail and social media advertisements.
A direct mail item includes a sample Barilla pasta box for buyers to try. The back of the box features information on a social media contest under the hashtag #pastailities.
DEWIE’S EXPEDITION Edutainment App
Design Narrative Dewie’s Expedition is an edutainment app designed to help kids learn about the water cycle. The app is geared towards kids that are 10 years old and are generally visual/spatial learners. The app is vector oriented and utilizes bright colors to appeal to a younger audience.
After completeing each stage of the water cycle, the user must complete a series of questions to unlock the next the location.
SOUNDAROUND
Human-Centered App
Design Narrative Soundaround allows users to find nearby live music, learn about different venues, and save upcoming events to their calender. The target audience includes both men and women ranging from 18 to 32 years of age that are interested in live music and social atmospheres, whether they are in their hometown, or traveling to somewhere new. The challenge was to create an app that focused on up and coming artists in local venues, rather than big names at large theaters.
