Club Building Checklist 1. Identify a Target Club 2. Write and mail the school a letter No Response: ● Send a follow-up email after 8 days ● Call the Principal after another week with no response ● Still no response? Focus your attention on another school. ★ DO NOT show up at the school unless you have an arranged meeting. It is never a good idea! With Response: ➢ Ask the principal to schedule a meeting. ○ Both you and your zone administrator should attend the meeting. ➢ Work with the principal to find a faculty advisor. ➢ Once a faculty advisor is found, establish good contact and make a plan to attract members. ➢ Work with your Zone Administrator to find target sponsoring Kiwanis Clubs. ➢ Contact Kiwanis Club, tell them you want to discuss chartering a new club, and arrange to attend a meeting. ➢ Ensure the advisor has interested students and offer to help in any way you can. ➢ Now, you have the members, advisor, and sponsoring Kiwanis Club...send in the charter!!
