Artworks on display at the Harold Washington Library Center represent many artistic styles, media and subject matter. Some of them are site specific–inherently designed and incorporated into the build ing’s architecture.

All of them are presented to Chicago residents and visitors for viewing and enjoyment. The pieces are drawn from several collections: the Chicago Public Library Art Collection; the City of Chicago Art Collection, Percent for Art Program; and the subject collections of the Special Collections and Preservation Division. Several works have been loaned for temporary display. Only the works on view to the public are listed in this brochure.
