Tablet PCs Investigated

Tablet PCs Investigated Computers have changed the way we do things around the home, the office or anywhere else. It is very unlikely that you would find a home that has no computer. We have become dependent on this electronic gadget to make our lives easier. Even the computers themselves have changed. Desktop computers are still around especially for those who need powerful devices for gaming and hardcore computing. However, for those who use a computer just for processing documents and spreadsheets, coupled with web browsing and chatting and a bit of fun games, it is the smaller and slimmer laptops that are preferred. They may not be as powerful as their big brothers and sisters but they are less bulky and can still do a superb job. However, computer manufacturers still wanted to improve the form of the laptop and be more mobile. This paved the way for the appearance of the tablet PC. The introduction of the iPad several years ago was the turning point for this product. Tablets were around long before the iPad but it was only this product that made people realize its use and beauty. Nowadays, you would see people asking where to sell my iPad whenever a new one is announced. However, exclusivity issues on the software forced other computer manufacturers who wanted their own tablet PC product line. Since they could not use the operating system that Apple had, they were forced to look for one elsewhere. It was Google who paved the way for the Android operating system to be used for tablet PCs. This started the rivalry between Android-based tablet PCs and Apple’s iPad. In terms of hardware components, both camps could go head to head. The tablets from both sides could compare relatively well based on the processor, available memory, storage capacity, screen display, camera capabilities, available applications and the like. However, comparing them based on their operating system will be a difficult task because they are two different things. It is like comparing apples to oranges. So far, in terms of hardware specifications, tablet PC manufacturers have yet to release one that could rival the new iPad’s upgraded specs. The closest thing that could compare with the new iPad could be the Asus Transformer Prime. This tablet is almost like a netbook especially when you place it in its docking system that doubles as its keyboard. The only major difference when comparing the iPad with the Android tablets is the price. Let’s face it; the iPad is truly more expensive than Android tablets. That is why people are now thinking where to sell my iPad if a newer, cheaper and upgraded Android tablet becomes available on the market. In the end, it is really up to you to decide which is better. Depending on how you rate things, there will surely be one that will be better than the other. Personal preference plays a big role in influencing other people to sell iPad for cash to shift to another operating system or go the other way around.
