BOULEVARD OAKS - HOUSTON, TX

Rocky River Cravotta Interiors Project Rocky River is a high-end residence located in West Lake Hills, a quiet yet thriving suburb in Austin, TX. This project sought to make use of the residence’s placement near Austin’s greenbelt to create an environment that felt organic, bright, but ultimately homely and in tune with its owners’ distinctive taste. As the Design Assistant on this project, I worked on initial design concept, space planning, millwork elevations and details, initial FF&E selection, mood boards, custom architectural mock-ups, and attended client and architectural meetings. I also accompanied the Creative Director to Paris to source antique and vintage furnishings that harmoniously contrast with the architecture’s modern approach.

Living Room

Dining Room

ABOVE / The central space of the home is the Living/Dining Room area. A space with a clear yet weightless division, a modern hammered silicon bronze fireplace, that creates an environment where dining can turn into leisure and vice versa. The architectural approach was to create one continuous roof slanting towards the back of the lot to capture and frame the scenic view. To further highlight the space’s naturalistic setting we sought to find materials and pieces that echoed that setting but that could also create clear breakpoints in light and tone. RIGHT / Before and after completion of project for Dining /Living Room area.

2

MAster Bedroom

Powder Room

ABOVE / The Master Bedroom sought to create a space for quiet and connection while maintaining the naturalist trend. Here elements highlight botanical motifs be it the unique chandelier, the drapery, or the beautiful hand painted antique Welsh slate roof tiles. RIGHT / Detail of Powder Room from concept through execution.

UPPER EAST SIDE TOWNHOUSE Pembrooke and Ives Project

Originally an Interior Design showroom, this double-wide townhouse was purchased and renovated into a contemporary and luxurious residence in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Each of the 7 levels, which includes a basement, garage, garden, and rooftop, represents the client’s modern yet subtle vision with elevated taste. I worked on this project as the project and procurement manager. I ensured all FF&E and decor specifications were correct, completed, and delivered/installed within a specific and short time frame. I stayed on as the main contact after completion and move in, and worked on the punch list and additional design requests from the client. ABOVE / Exterior facade and Family Living Room

The furniture concept throughout the project is a combination of contemporary and modern, with a hint of traditional. Most of the seating was custom made to perfectly fit the space with the exception of a few furniture pieces curated from highend artists and galleries. The client also had some vintage items that were included to complement the overall goal. LEFT / Main Living Room BELOW / Media Room and Primary Sitting Room

MOROCCAN GUESTHOUSE Pembrooke and Ives Project (in progress)

The client’s love for Morocco prompted them with a fun new project, a guesthouse for entertaining visitors in complete Moroccan fashion. Situated adjacent to the main residence, the design concept is a blend of modern aesthetics with a hint of traditional charm. The interior architecture and sculptural selection of furniture evokes the essence of Morocco by creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. As the designer on this project, I worked on the initial design concept and space planning, and sourced interior architectural finishes, FF&E, art, and decor. In this project, I collaborated with architects and artisans to shape the client’s vision and create a true-to-origin yet fitting design. ABOVE / Bar Renderings

Maverick Restaurant Cravotta Interiors Project Maverick is a Texas brasserie located in a historic building in the heart of San Antonio’s Southtown. The design team’s goal was to create a 200 person restaurant with four different dining areas and, consequently, four different yet complementary environments. I was involved from the beginning of the design process to the end, but as the project was ongoing I was transitioned into project lead. Under the Principal’s direction, I managed the construction phase of Maverick in collaboration with the architect and contractor, acted as purchasing manager for all FF&E items, managed details of custom pieces, and coordinated project installation from delivery through styling and photography.

The Tavern, Bar, and Private Dining Room are dark and moody dining spaces with intimate pools of light illuminating each table and seat at the bar. To enhance this type of atmosphere, the design team decided to preserve and restore the existing brick walls, concrete floors and wood beam ceilings as they were critical for maintaining the space’s industrial brasserie feel.

Towards the back of the restaurant, the Kitchen Dining Room and Patio are decidedly lighter in tone. In both spaces, blonde woods, cozy upholsteries, and soft colors transport each patron to a bright, airy and relaxed ambiance. Existing concrete floors and structural ceiling beams link these spaces back to the front of the house, the Tavern. RIGHT / Furniture Plan

in progress: casa beatriz Freelance Project Restoration and conversion of a 19th-century Portuguese villa into a boutique Bed and Breakfast on the island of São Miguel, Azores, Portugal. With interior remodeling, restoring, and space planning, this 4-story villa accommodates 11 en suite guestrooms, multiple common areas, a gym, and beautiful gardens surrounding the structure. While preserving the interior architectural details from 1860 when the villa was originally constructed, the proposed color palette and FF&E take a more modern approach, composing a stunning balance between traditional and modern interior design.
