Objective Randomly assigned with different countries, each set of partners must

research and develop a restaurant design that reflects and regards the respective countries’ culture, with several considerations in terms of ADA requirements and International Building culture Codes. The restaurant includes a hostess station, dining area, two reservable areas, ADA restrooms, and outdoor seating.

Concept India is a very traditional country, and with each region comes different cultures

and traditions; however, there is an instance that unites the country as one: Diwali, the Festival of Lights. In a celebration of good’s triumph over evil, knowledge over ignorance, happiness. It is a time of pure and love over war, Diwali serves as a time of great joy and happiness bliss. Located in the Amanbagh resort in the district of Rajasthan, Bliss is situated in one of the most celebratory regions of India. Typically a modest district in wealth, Rajasthan compensates in its faith and love for celebrations.

Solution The design of Bliss intends to capture the meaning and symbolism of Diwali.

With rich jewel tone colors to contrast the surroundings, visitors will be transported to the heart of a Diwali festival. Fire and light play a major role in the design. Guests will be dazzled by a feature wall with fire, as well as traditional lamps to create an authentic mood. To accommodate the culture of India, a traditional wet bar will be replaced with a hookah bar because drinking in public is discouraged, and rectilinear seating to accommodate the typical hierarchy at a table.

hospitality

Bliss

Indian Dining Etiquette Research 1. Never eat with your left hand 2. There is a hierarchy at tables: tables -the host sits at the head -honored guest sits to the right -guests sits on side away from door 3. Men and woman dine separate at business dinners 4. Must wash hands before and after dining 5. Food Sharing for personal parties is common

Objective Create a company that specializes in a specific product. Market and brand

The existing building was a three level 22800 SF building. Research on current office space trends and technology was imperative before planning and designing each of the departments.

Concept With a specialization in the packaging of ice cream pints and sodas, Old Shoppe

branded themselves with an old fashioned or retro appearance of the original soda shops and parlors. In the new flagship corporate office, the space utilizes recognizable elements from the classic soda and ice cream shops throughout the design with colors and textures.

Solution Through the design of the space, several issues are faced and solved. Old

Shoppe is a dynamic and collaborative company that encourages relationships and teamwork among the employees. The space needed to be as open as possible, while still defining spaces specific to their purposes. This is accomplished through the arrangement of the work stations and offices offices. Work stations are places along the walls in from of the windows to allow the maximum amount of light into the space. The interior offices are framed with a glass curtain partition to allow as much light in as possible, but to also extend sightlines and give the appearance of a larger space.

Objective Plan and design NEXT’s new medical office space, measuring approximately

12,000 SF. Research the changing trends in healthcare and create a space that is adaptable for both high and low tech users users. It is also imperative to improve employee wellbeing and enhance the relationship between the healthcare professionals and the community.

Concept With the well deserved reputation of being one of the rainiest cities in the

United States, Seattle receives over 150 average days of rain a year. Rain is often viewed in a negative light as a damper on peoples’ day. However, rain puddles that accumulate on city. They capture the light, colors, stillness, and asphalt create a unique reflection of the city offer a new perspective of the city. But cities are not still. They are bustling, changing and active. Like a ripple on water, the waves start at the source and grow outward, sometimes overlapping other ripples. Similarly, people who live in the city affect it one way or another in different levels, and paths cross every day.

Solution Utilizing a neutral palette that emphasizes light and reflection, reflection Next keeps

a clean and refreshing environment with color to liven up and enhance the atmosphere. Designing a space that is accessible not only in ADA standards, but accessible for the patient is imperative. Creating spaces where there is collaboration and interaction outside of the exam room is the future of healthcare.

healthcare Next Healthcare is a field of constant change and advancement. After researching expectations on medical experiences, the generations of baby boomers, and millennials have some distinct differences. However several similarities, including cleanliness, shorter wait time, and convenience ranked high on both lists. At NEXT wellness clinic, the patients are the central focus of function and design design. Emphasizing the concept of continuous care care, NEXT offers educational sessions and consultations to encourage prevention instead of treatment. Because healthcare is an advancing field, it is imperative to embrace the growth and change through the function and design of the space.

Key Plan

institutional `Armstrong

The renovation of the middle school opened up the front reception area with a clear view through the library. This increases the natural light and connection between the students and faculty.

The design is updated and modern but youthful. Students are separated into a pod system with a designated color color. These colors are the foundation of finish selections. The finishes are durable and easily maintained to accommodate the wear and tear from elementary students.

bag the Valise Inspired by the classic appeal of a vintage leather bag, Bench has many of the recognizable characteristics. With a solid wood frame, leather is draped over and fastened to form a sling. A contrasting leather strip detail runs down the back and wraps around the cross bar as extra support. Bold stitching lines the seams. The Valise Bench will enhance any hospitality or commercial space. space 3"
