INNOVATIVE OPTIMISTIC + DRIVEN WITH JUST A SPLASH OF INDIVIDUALITY
WHO IS ELIZABETH?
The first eighteen years of my life were spent on my family’s hobby farm in northern Wisconsin, where my three siblings and I were given full reign to explore and create. Looking back I think I’ve always been a designer; I’ve always been drawn towards building and creating – I remember sneaking off to the woods with my dad’s tools to build elaborate forts on numerous occasions. After graduating from high school, I moved to Madison, WI where I would attend the University of Wisconsin - Madison. I found a new home in the Interior Architecture department, where my passion for the built environment was discovered and cultivated. In my twenty-two year journey I have traveled to places like Alaska and Africa and everywhere in-between. I believe in uninhibited creativity - photography, welding, and dance are all passions I continue to explore.

As an employee of the service industry, I have learned how to adapt quickly while giving customers the best service possible. Working in a restaurant has taught me how good space development can make a business successful for the employees, the patrons, and ultimately, the business owners. The team oriented business has proved how collaborating with others can only lead to positive results. I also have managment experience with events, which has given me experience as a leader to make confident and well informed decisions and to think quickly on my feet.

The center of ZONK’s world is gaming, so gaming became the central focus of the design. The industrial aesthetic mirrors ZONK’s attention to the the process of developing their games; the process of creating through physical and attentive dedication. Employee health is important to ZONK - breaking down walls between different types of employees will encourage employee empowerment and create stronger relationships between all employees. Several smaller collaboration areas and the town center promote interaction for visitors and employees and provide a window into the game creating operation. Interactive screens for game testing are placed throughout the office to promote the products created by ZONK.

1350 rever inspired by the events of August 7, 1974 when Philippe Petit shocked the world with a high wire walk across the Twin World Trade Towers. 1350 REVER is named for the 1350 ft Philippe danced above the ground and rever, the dream that led him to this feat.
1350 REVER mimics Petit’s time between the two towers with two, simple forms. A slim piece of glass mimics verticality, and horizontally curved piece of marble imitates a balance pole in flight.
