Happy New Year everyone. Here we are starting 2020!!! I didn’t make a New Year’s resolutions, because I never follow through on them. However, since this is my last year as President of the Advisory Board I do want to do my best to represent the members and the Center to the best of my ability. We had 316 members in 2019 and 80 of which were new members. Let’s hope 2020 will have even more members. So if you haven’t already renewed your membership please do so now. Just think of all the great activities and the great place to gather with old/new friends. You will also be asked to give an emergency contact and whether or not you want your name and birthday published. Both are important so be sure to give the information! Also in 2020, if you haven’t heard yet our monthly luncheons are going to be every other month. There also will be a theme, which is “Lunch around the World”. We will be visiting different countries each luncheon and when you sign up in January you will be given a passport and every time you attend you will get a stamp in the passport for the country we “visited” that month. There will be some new trips and also some of the old trips that everyone enjoys. Whatever your interest or passion, I hope as a member of Sheila Ray Adult Center you will get involved and support our center. Volunteers are what keep the center functioning and gives everyone the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. As always I want to thank Colleen and Gina for all they do to make our center such a warm and welcoming place to come. And I don’t want to forget the rest of the staff also! As always, Good programs, good people, good times! Thank you, Barbara B., President Page 2
