INSIGHTS
Our teacher training sessions provide you with inspiration and support for exploring productions back at school. Find out about the creative process behind the show and work through practical and accessible drama activities that open up the play for you and your students.
These free Q&A events take place after the performance and give students the opportunity to discuss the show with the director and actors.
Primary CPD (full day): discover ways to use your theatre visit as a stimulus for work across the curriculum. Secondary CPD (twilight session): ideas for linking the play to the KS3/4/5 English and Drama frameworks.
Our wide range of discounts means a visit to the theatre can fit into any school’s budget, and we look forward to seeing you at the Unicorn this season.
RESOURCE PACKS Resource packs can be used in the classroom to deepen your students’ engagement with the theatre experience both before and after your visit. They include interviews with the creative teams, a context for the play and pre- and post-show activities that can link to classroom work. Resources available to download from our website unicorntheatre.com/schools from 4 June 2013.
SUBSIDISED TICKET SCHEME Thanks to generous funding from The McGrath Trust, we are able to offer schools, who are unable to make trips to us for financial or other reasons, fully or partly subsidised tickets.
SEE IT FIRST We offer a limited number of free tickets to our Press Night performances for teachers to find out more about the production and our work with schools, before bringing a class.
