What a month!
Well this month has been truly amazing. I want to take some time to congratulate Mairi Fraser for achieving a truly incredible break out to Director and steaming straight into second place! We have an exciting but quite short time until Christmas now. This is the time to squeeze in all those last minute sales. EllaPure Oil of the Month Frankincense Latin: Boswella thurifera

December’s Oil of the Month is the very festive, Frankincense. The name ‘Franc’ comes from the French for luxuriant. This amazing oil comes from the resin of the Boswellia carteri and thurifera trees which can be found in the Middle East and Northern Africa. The oil has a woody and spicy fragrance but it also has notes of lemon which come from the tree bark. The oil has always been sought after and is considered to be a rare oil. You know of it from the bible as one of the gifts for baby Jesus but the ancient Egyptians also offered the resin as a gift to the gods. Frankincense can be used to calm the mind by slowing down and deepening breathing as well as calming mental chatter. It has been know to help with asthma and colds. Amazingly it can also be used to rejuvenate your skin in either our Cleanser or Moisturiser. Frankincense is perfect when used in an EllaPure Room Burner. It also combines brilliantly with Myrrh, Orange or Bergamot.
December Consultant Q&A - Eileen Bermingham When and why did you join EllaPure?
I joined EllaPure in August 2012. I had been a Social Worker for 30 years but due to Family circumstances I had taken early retirement and my Husband and I had been planning to spend some time travelling sadly this was not to be as he became ill with Cancer. I found myself having to re-think my life plans, I had returned to Social Work part time but I felt I needed a new challenge. I had also become interested in the studies and reports that had been written concerning the issues and concerns about the many chemicals and toxins we were absorbing daily into our system from everyday products including Personal Care Products. By an amazing coincidence I was contacted by Julianne (my Niece) who introduced me to the EllaPure products. I was very impressed by the Quality of the Products and decided to become a Consultant. The more I experienced the Products and got to know the Company and the people behind and within it the more passionate and focused I became about the business myself. Therefore In April this year I decided to give up my temporary job and focus full-time on developing my EllaPure Business my aim being to increase my Customers and to start building my Team. What’s your favourite part about being a Consultant? Firstly I love the Products and its all EllaPure in my home now including my cleaning products. I am enjoying the challenge of building a business and developing a Team. I have always had a keen interest and belief in Aromatherapy so it’s great to have the opportunity to expand my learning and experience in this area. I like meeting people and giving them information that helps increase their understanding and awareness of the ingredients in products and the benefits of using natural products. I have had many customers who have benefited from using our Products and this gives me real pleasure and satisfaction. Biggest tip for new or existing Consultants? Use and learn about the benefits of our products. Be yourself and share your knowledge about these natural products with everyone, ensure people know the benefits and are given the choice without being a pushy salesperson. Be enthusiastic, passionate and positive about what you do. Be a good listener, share the opportunity with others and be supportive to your team.
Aromatherapy News If you’re travelling a long distance to see family this Christmas this could be of interest to you! A recent study by the University of Miami School of Medicine has revealed that using Lavender and Peppermint can keep you more alert and responsive on long drive, especially with kids in the back! In a similar study, researchers in the UK have discovered that Lemon as an essential oil can help reduce the symptoms of agitation in people with dementia. The study showed that 60% of patients that used Lemon showed reduced signs of agitation, anxiety and aggression.
