Hello.
03
We are Bring Us Science.
A progressive, community-based non-profit focused on bringing science to schools.
05
This is all done through a mobile lab traveling from school to school.

A STEM education is crucial for student success.
09
Sadly, science education is a last priority in a teacher’s day.
11
Our goal is to fix this...
Science is FUN and science education is attainable with resources and programs. The goal of Bring Us Science is to harness the interest of children to lead to increased education.
13
Why Mobile? By placing the classroom inside a bus, all resources and tools are available. This will replace the need for each classroom to purchase its own technology for lessons, alleviating the barrier of entry for teachers and schools that cannot afford these resources themselves.
15
Bringing the science classroom to schools lifts the weight off of teachers’ shoulders.
17
A field trip that comes to you.
So who benefits from this?
Kids. There is a focus on children from K-4 as they prepare for fifth grade state testing.

Teachers. Teachers need help teaching STEM. They don’t have time in their day-to-day class schedules. BUS cuts down on necessary prep time.
25
Parents. Parents, just like teachers, often don’t have time or resources at the end of the day to help with science education.
27
Schools. Schools need help as state governments cut more and more educational funding. By providing a cheap service, BUS eliminates the need for each school to buy specialized science education tools.
29
Kansas City.
Why community based? Without strong resources throughout the entirety of the Kansas City area, many children will be without access to STEM educations. BUS can cater itself to the community in its growth to makeup for areas lacking in strong resources.
The branding will be functional, dynamic, fun & engaging.

Project Goals. Because I wanted the graphics to reflect the fun, explorative aspects of science, I focused on iconography as a way to reach small kids. I used thick lines and bright colors to create visual metaphors of the relationship between science and elementary education.

Bus Itself. I wanted the bus to reflect the fun nature of the rest of the graphics. I used similar iconography combined with a retro feel for the bus graphics. Wood furniture

Use in Bus. Kids will have the opportunity to further their education through worksheets, activities & hands-on exercises. For example: an experiment in which kids grow bacteria colonies in petri dishes.

Outside Graphics. Aside from objects in use in the bus there will also be a need for objects that will live in the outside world. Tshirts for staff to use at events, posters and a website to advertise the bus and all it does, an instagram to keep people updated with recent events, & buttons for kids to take home.

In Summary. Bring Us Science is a wonderful program that should have the graphics to bring the interest and attention necessary for it to thrive. My hope with the design of the project was to create a brand that would speak to the uniqueness of BUS that was at the same time functional.
