NAOMI ON HER NEW LOOK AND THE CHALLENGE!!

photographed by KANEO BIGGS styled by SCOT LOUIE hair & makeup JANESE BLAGROVE

ELLEMENTS: How did you get involved in Acting? NAOMI: Well since I was 10 years old I always knew I wanted to get into acting. I liked the idea of being someone other than me. I could be a ballerina one day and a mean girl the next. So as a child John Robert Powers acting school gave me a scholarship. Unfortunately it was too expensive to enroll. With that being said I started small. I acted in several plays in Grammer School. Joined the drama club, played Brutus in my high school play of Julius Caesar and now I’m going on castings and working with an acting coach that’s gonna help me improve. How long have you been a Reality Star? From where did you get started? Lol I got into reality TV really randomly. I was in college upstate. One of my sorority sisters forwards me an email for the real world casting call at Pure Nightclub. She’s like “Nai u should go ur soo crazy they will pick u” Lord and behold they liked me for some reason. Then from there everything was history. How was the whole experience of Real World? Real World was the best experience of my life. It was great to be in a new city with people so different from my “empire state of mind comfort zone”. Me and my cast mates became like a family. We had our ups and downs but all in all I could not ask for another group of people to be living with. Also getting comp bottles and being drunk the whole time was the best. Life on the fast lane :) Are you working on any projects currently? Yes I’m on a new show that airs January 25th; it’s called “BATTLE OF THE EXES. I was paired with my ex boo Leroy and competed against several other ex-couples for 100 grand. Aside from that, I’m shooting a new reality show January 11th that is gonna be soo funny to watch. Anyone who saw real world knows I don’t ride cars I ride boys. In this new reality show I will be taking lessons to get my license. If I get my license I swear I’m getting a buggie. I’m also gonna be in a couple of music videos coming up so definitely look out for that as well. Tell us more about the show you are currently working on, and what interesting stuff we should look out for. Battle of the Exes is gonna be on MTV January 25th. They put you together in a house with past “real worlders” and compete based on a certain theme. Our theme was ‘battle of the exes’ so we were teamed up with our exes doing some crazy fear factor type shit in order to win money. Only twist is you are paired with ur ex. Now I dot know about you but being anywhere with an ex is always an awkward situation so definitely expect tons of drama. Beware of the broken hearted!

The new Naomi won’t tolerate being second best to anyone..

Tell us about an area in which you would like to improve as an actress? I would like to improve in my improv skills. I need to be quicker on my feet, nothing acting classes can’t fix

If there was one show you would love to be in and an actor/actress you would love to work with, what and who would it be? I would love to be on Showtime’s hit series ‘Shameless’. I love the cast I think they are so talented and unique it would be the perfect mix. Another show I would love to do is ‘Gossip Girl’. Blake Lively is the shit just to be on the same screen as her would be amazing. I would play a janitor on gossip girl just to be on screen with Blake Lively. We realized that you have changed your look, and it is new to your fans, what lead you to change your look? To be honest this past summer was really hard for me. I was getting over a guy I was really into. I was partying a lot and just doing way too much. When I came back from the challenge I realized I needed a fresh new start at life. I wanted a change from head to toe inside and out. This included cutting my hair off. “Shorty got Britney shaved her whole head off” lol but yea this change was defiitely for the better. I’m working out a lot, eating healthier, maintaining my hair and keeping myself up. I never want to be where I was at this past summer; so far so good... What should we expect from the New Naomi? The new Naomi won’t tolerate being second best to anyone. I know I deserve to be treated like a queen so anything less is a no go. The new Naomi works out and eats healthier because being physically fit makes you feel better. The new Naomi will not entertain bullshit I will shut that shit down. We are a Fashion Magazine, what is your idea of fashion and style? Fashion to me is a representation of your personality. I’m loud and over the top at times so my style is very wild. Bright colors crazy prints, spikes different shapes. Anything and everything completely bizarre, but in a cute way. Think Rachel Roy mixed with Katy Perry Which designer/s you would love to dress you for the red carpet from head to toe? I would love to be dressed in Givenchy from head to toe. I think its soo classy and chic with a badass edge. How was the experience shooting the cover for Ellements Magazine? The experience was great. The entire team was fun, made me feel right at home from the beginning till end. I truly believe each photoshoot is different but at the Ellements shoot it wasn’t very hard for me to be myself. It’s like me and Kaneo worked harmoniously together. Hands down best photo-shoot I ever did :)

INVICTA

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Nine Facets of Invicta: 1. I connect the dots. 2. The carnal spirit, the adventurous soul, the one who walks the edge with a passionate stride and seeks challenge; this is my subject and on the picture plane we collide through light and shade, color, movement and form. 3. I stay up till dawn romancing pixels. 4. I get distracted by leaves blowing in the breeze and then wonder how I can make the world a better place. 5. I love cutting the ripples of muscle on a chiseled man with unforgiving shafts of light. 6. Coffee and Cool Whip, hazelnut syrup 7. Michael Jackson; the greatest collection of atoms to ever coalesce! 8. Deep dare, bold bite, bigger listening, pushed condemnation, stiff fundamental; random phrase generators! Chaos is key. Connect the dots. 9. Silence...

42 www.ellementsmagazine.com

The following is a stream-of-consciousness style word/ phrase mashup. It is meant to augment the pictures, which I’ve collectively titled Cinereous Reliques. The improper grammar is all intentional. :) Cinereous Reliques, Carnal, bleak, destructive, ashen black, sunlight hit, apocolyptic epithet for a life once lived in bliss. Aggressive core sheathed in suede, soft wounds open, air-stricken gash. We’re the raven circling the prey motionless, a-gasp, staring blindingly into the sun. Hard battle won. And only one equals one, no part of this will be redone. Slivers of strife, thrown askew, rambling through clouds of soot, at every turn a challenge, a break in the glass house, shatters, splinters and shrapnel scattered anew. What’s left? Momentary clarity. Then Silence, Space, and Light. Sky unfolding into nakedness, wrapping around you. Still.
The birth of the dream, it’s coming closer. Closer......
and I can feel it. -Invicta

He then purchased his first camera, spending day and night getting to know his knew friend even better. By the end of 2009, he discovered people photography, and a new passion started. Describe your style? Sure we all have a style, but how to describe it. My style is how I see the world and capture the light. That being said, it’s the way I play with the light, creating big parts of dark and light spots, working with the colors, as well as a touch of art photography which has been a big inspiration for me and is ever increasing. What makes photography so great? Meeting amazing people and working as a team to create astonishing pictures is what makes photography such an incredible part of life. Ideas can be so amazing, but if they never leave the sketchbook you will never see the masterpiece. In addition, it´s the movement and chemistry between model and photographer and knowing you´re both creating something amazing. There is only one thing to learn in life and that’s ENJOY the moment. Born: 1. October 1986 in Kiel Germany. Now lives in Cologne Germany and living the dream. Website: www.thomaswiuf.com Blog: www.thomaswiuf.com/blog/

SHARON KING

This is the Introduction from me to you. Remember me?

My name is Sharon King. I wrote my first book: “This is the Introduction from me to you. Remember me?” The reason I wrote this book is to let women and men around the world know that you’re not the only one that has or is going through allot in your life. But you must stand up and fight to the end. With God by your side you will never loose and always overcome. But you must put God first all the time. What inspired you to write this book? My dear friend Kiva Dale gave me a journal and told me to write everything that happens in my life and maybe one day I could write a book. I was inspired by my life every event that happened. The people that were and are still a part of my life. It is extremely important to me to let women know that their struggle is not in vain.

What makes this book different and unique in its class? I wrote this book from my heart and withheld nothing. The uniqueness of this book is because it is my life. The Good, the bad, happy times, sad times and the list goes on.

I hope this book will help at least one person or more. Most of us has been abused, misused and confused not to say the least. But I hope it really help someone. Several times I have bought books that have helped me. I hope my book could do the same.

Which Author is your role model? I love Alice Walker and Mayo Angelo

What else about you or the book that you would like the readers to know? Being from another country coming to America. Sometimes you have to endure allot to get where you have to be. But always remember when other people use your weakness against you. You must fight back because you fight will never be in vain.

What is the main lesson or story in the book? Never keep your silence that is when the enemy wins. You must stop for a moment and think how I am going to come out of my situation. Plan and follow through. What is next for you? I am writing a second book this book is an Erotica. I am looking forward in doing a documentary in Louisiana. That is one of my biggest dreams. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? I see myself owning my Non-profit organization helping unprivileged children and families. I also see myself writing more books. How far do you plan to go with this book? Or is it the one and only?
