End of the day Sun going down What have you lost? What needs to be found?
Your dog, Cloe, has been listening all day long for the things you need that can’t be found.
At night when your dogs drift off to sleep They slip from their bodies And run so free
Through walls and through windows so Nothing you see
Can stop them from roaming and searching
They hunt and they guard throughout the night. They ride on their dreams. Their paws take flight.
They look for the things you lost all day. To bring them back at break of day.
They run on paths searching to find The things all that you left behind.
There is Keira’s favorite doll.
Here’s Keira’s favorite bookbook.
Here are the keys that Daddy dropped.
Here is Harris’ wooden box.
Here are Grammas’s golden glasses.
There is Grampa’s favorite watch
There is Hailey’s lost sock.
There is Mommy’s golden ring. Mist dogs can find anything.
Even if you lose your smile They’ll find it in a little while.
Even if you lose your heart Mist dogs know and are so smart.
They’ll pick it up and bring it home With all the lost things they have found.
And in the morning when you wake Your dog is tired but she will take
the time to lick your face and play and find the things you lost yesterday.
