Music has helped the world keep moving, even in the most challenging of times ... and that’s a fact that the latest Grammy Award nominations reflect.

The recording industry’s 65th annual ceremony will be presented Sunday, Feb. 5, on CBS and Paramount+ from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.

Trevor Noah returns as host for the third consecutive year, and the list of those who are up for the honors is led by a veteran of the business, since Beyonce tops the list with nine bids. That number now ties her with someone she knows quite well — her husband, Jay-Z — as the artists who have scored the most Grammy nominations over time, with 88 each.

chances this time are Kendrick Lamar with eight, and Adele and Brandi Carlile with seven each. They’re followed by a number of talents with six Grammy opportunities apiece: DJ Khalid, Future, Terius “TheDream” Gesteelde-Diamant (also known as Terius Nash), Randy Merrill and Harry Styles. Pro Bowler Chubb on a Hall of Fame trajectory for Browns

Over the last 75 years, Cleveland Browns fans have been treated to the performances of some pretty special running backs like Leroy Kelly, Mike Pruitt, Marion Motley and Jim Brown. Now, enter into that conversation Nick Chubb. Indeed, in the five year veteran, the Browns have a potential Hall of Famer who has rushed for more than 1,000 yards in every season except one (his rookie year of 2018, when he had 996) and been the linchpin of the Cleveland offense.

He’s just finished arguably the best year of his career, rushing for 1,525 yards (third in the NFL) on 302 carries (a 5.1 yards-per-carry average) and 12 touchdowns and caught 27 passes for 239 yards and one TD. His 1,525 yards puts him behind only Brown’s superhuman single-season club record of 1,863 in 1963, accomplished in an era when teams played 14 regular season games compared to today’s 17. For his career, Chubb’s 6,340 yards on the ground rank him fourth among Browns runners behind only Brown (12,312), Kelly (7,274) and Pruitt (6,560). With health, Chubb should be able to eclipse Kelly and Pruitt’s totals next year and take up the pursuit of Brown’s alltime Browns mark. His career year in 2022 didn’t go unnoticed by Pro Bowl voters, who selected him to the AFC roster for what is now a non-contact flag football contest in the reconfigured all-star game against the NFC. That will air Sunday, Feb. 5, on ABC and NFL Network from Allegiant Stadium outside of Las Vegas.

How do you feel “Will Trent” balances continuing stories and whatever the mystery of the given week’s episode might be?

Each character has something going on in their lives, and that’s the part we’ve tried to serialize, the character arcs. Hopefully, there is an evolution to each of these characters throughout the season.

What do you think of the special connection between Will and police detective Angie Polaski (played by Erika Christensen?

She is absolutely rooted to his histor y, and vice versa, and that has its pros and cons. They’re kind of like active triggers for each other, which is interesting, and that’s the push-and-pull that we get to play with. It’s a complicated situation that they both have to endure and work out, one way or another. we get glimpses of other sides of him through people like Angie ... and again, vice versa, since we only get other sides of Angie through Will. And that’s fun, to see who people are with other people in their lives.

You’re also a producer of “Will Trent,” as is Karin Slaughter, the author of the novels the show is inspired by. What has that job entailed for you?

They came to me with the project fairly early on, and we got to have a lot of conversations about it. I went through the “Will Trent” books and thought, “Wow, there’s something really interesting there.”

When you do a series, it’s like a marriage in so many ways, hopefully a long-term relationship that you go into with good intentions. This was a matter of, “Are we seeing things the same way? Do we feel like this is the right partnership? What is this going to look like?” It’s like a dating process, feeling things out and seeing if you can inspire each other in an interesting way. And I’ve had great partners on this. We’ve collaborated a lot.
