Everything is in transition -- style, fame, beauty, youth. These ideas are a scaffolding of our identity, as we construct ourselves, akin to a building. The overarching theme of the magazine is growing, emerging, becoming, transforming, as a human analogy to a building under construction. Scaffolding, in this respect, is both the transformation vehicle and the support system.

Scaffolding Is t h e In die Su ppor t Syst em Art and literature are in transition as well. Arguably the most changing and risk-taking platform for artists is the indie market. Scaffolding is aimed at capturing and preserving their essence for the reader. This is accomplished through showcasing the works of ark and through intimately introducing authors.

Scaffolding Is t h e Bu ildin g Block of You r Bu sin ess Tapping into a growing indie readership base, Scaffolding draws its content predominantly from indie writers and visual artists. Writers, photographers, and illustrators are becoming increasingly entrepreneurial, versed in social media, marketing, technology, and various production aspects of their businesses. By the same token, the consumer base of the indie product becomes increasingly dedicated and supportive. The age of indie stigma is in the past, which is obvious from the latest author earnings report.
