2018 Commonwealth Games On 4th April 2018, over 6,500 athletes from 70 nations will converge on the Gold Coast for the 11 day sporting event that is the 21st Commonwealth Games. This will be the fifth time Australia has played host to the games. Although most of the events will be taking place around the Gold Coast itself, Brisbane will host a couple of events: 5th – 8th April 2018: Cycling at The Anna Meares Velodrome, Chandler.
